2. Pain - Dolor
3. Redness - Rubor
4. Swelling – Tumor

AL Activity
1. What is the first stage of inflammation when an injury occurred.
Chemical mediators of inflammation are released or activated in injured tissues
and adjacent blood vessels blood vessels rupture, casing bleeding
2. What is the second stage of inflammation?
Chemical mediators cause capillaries to dilate and the skin to become red.
Chemical mediators also increased capillary permeability, and two with leaves the
capillaries, producing swelling
3. What is the third stage of inflammation?
White blood cells for example neutrophils leave the dilated blood vessels and
move to the site of bacterial infection where they begin to phagocytize bacteria and
other debris.
4. What is the tissue membrane that can be found at joint areas.
Synovial membrane.
5. What are the chemical mediators released during inflammation.
Histamine and prostaglandin.
