Process Manual for Taking Online Proctored Examinations through Safe Exam Browser (SEB)

with Two Cameras

1. Login into the online exam platform https://onlinebits.wheebox.com/LOGIN-2/onlinebits.jsp


with the Login Credentials shared by Wheebox team.

2. Select Examination option on Choose Account Type page.


3. Post login, you will be taken to the test selection page. Here you need to click on your
scheduled course test and click “Continue” icon.

4. Post that you will be taken to “Wheebox Exam Browser” page and if “Wheebox Exam
Browser” is not installed in the system, click on the “Download” button to install “Wheebox
Exam Browser” in your system.
5. Please refer to the Wheebox Exam Browser (WEB) Download and Installation Process
Document for downloading and installing Wheebox Exam Browser (WEB) in your system. If
the “Wheebox Exam Browser” is already installed in your system, it will prompt you to open
the Wheebox Exam Browser. Click on “Open Safe Exam Browser” when prompted to start
the test in Wheebox Exam Browser.
6. Instructions for Secondary camera positioning

 USB Camera with wide angle view (wide angle view feature in the camera is mandatory)
 Recommended models for secondary camera are mentioned below: 
o HP w100 480P 30 FPS Digital Webcam with Built-in Mic, Plug and Play Setup, Wide-
Angle View
o Logitech C270 Digital HD Webcam with Widescreen HD Video Calling
o C930e Logitech webcam with wide angle view and USB
 Students need to ensure that the device drivers for the camera are present in the system used
for taking the exam
 The cord length of the secondary camera should be long enough to allow the camera to be
placed 2 to 2.5 feet away from the user. 
 Since the secondary camera should be placed at a height of 8 to 10 inches above the test
taker’s desk, it is also recommended that the student procure a stand for mounting the camera
at the height mentioned.
 Secondary Camera will need to be attached to the Laptop or Desktop used for the exam via
the USB port. USB ports on the Laptop or Desktop should be active for attaching and detecting
the Secondary Camera. (if you plan to use an office machine for taking the exam, your
employer may need to agree and make these ports active. If this is not possible, please
arrange for an alternate machine where these ports are active)
 In case your machine does not support the USB of your secondary camera, you need to
purchase an appropriate connector to connect the camera to the Laptop / Desktop.

7. In the “Safe Exam Browser”, you will be taken to the system check page before starting the
test page. Click “Proceed Now” icon.

Once the system check is completed, click “Continue” icon to enter the next page.
8. You will now be taken onto the Consent Agreement Page. Here you must accept the terms
mentioned on the consent page by clicking the check box and then clicking
"Continue" to enter the next page.

9. You will now be asked to click your photo by clicking "Capture Photo" icon.
10. Post that you must click "Proceed Now" icon for verifying your identity by presenting the
downloaded Hall Ticket to the proctor as your ID by bringing the Hall Ticket (as a printed
copy or in their mobile phone as a soft copy) in front of their Laptop / Desktop’s Web Camera
and click "Capture ID Card" icon. Please note that for ID Proof, you must present only the
downloaded Hall Ticket. Please don’t present any other ID card as your ID Proof in the
system.
11. Post that you have to click "Proceed Now" icon to enter the “Waiting Lounge” Page. Here
you must accept the terms mentioned on the page by clicking the check box and then
clicking "Proceed Now" to enter the Test page for starting the exam. You will be able to start
the exam only at the scheduled exam start time.

start the examination you will be able to see the question paper displayed on your system
screen.

13. You can go back to the previous questions using the Previous button on the screen. Click
on the Next button to move to the next question.
14. You can also access the PDF & PPT files that are already saved in your system from the
icons given at the bottom left corner of the screen
15. You can either type in your answers for the questions in the Text box provided on the screen
or you may even upload a handwritten A4 size answer sheet to answer any question. For
handwritten answers, you are allowed to write only on one side of every A4 sheet answer
paper. To upload any hand written answer sheets, figures, images, diagrams, equations,
derivations and workings as a part of your answer during the exam, please follow the below
steps for uploading using QR Code Scanner App on your smartphone:

a) Draw / write the required figure / image /  diagram / equation / derivation / hand written
answer on a plain A4 sheet paper as required
b) Click on the option to “Upload Answer Sheet Using - Mobile” on the test screen. A QR
Code shall be generated on the test screen.

c) Open the QR Code scanning app and scan the QR Code using your mobile phone
camera.

d) Post scanning the QR Code, you can take an image using your mobile phone camera and

upload the figure /

16. You will be able to


upload only a
single image with each QR code. In case you would like to upload multiple figures images /
diagrams / equations / derivations / handwritten answer sheets using your mobile phone, you
will have to scan a QR Code separately. Note that each QR Code is valid only for 90
Seconds after which you will have to scan a new QR Code. You have to upload the answer
sheets only against the respective questions on the online examination system. You can’t
upload all answer sheets against a single question on the online examination system. You
can view the uploaded images by clicking View Uploaded Images icon.

17. Please note that there will be multiple, or one question related to excel. Where an excel file
is shared in the question. You can open the excel file and make the changes. Save the file in
Downloads folder and use Browse and Upload feature to upload the file.
18. Once you have completed the exam, you can end the exam by clicking “End Test” button.
You are advised to submit the test only after carefully checking that you have answered all
questions and once you have uploaded all answer sheets on the Online Examination
system.

19. When you click on the “End Test” option on the test screen for ending the exam, you will be
able to view only the uploaded hand-written answer scripts for every question in the “View
Upload Document Summary” window and the answers which you have typed in the Text
box will not be displayed here. You can once again verify your uploaded answer scripts in
this window and then click on the “End Test” option then click on the “Yes, submit” option to
complete your examination. In case, if you have missed out on uploading any answer script
or want to delete or re-upload any answer script then please click the “Close” option to go
back to your test page again for completing the process of uploading the correct answer
scripts.
