I. – OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
1. Identify electrical supplies, materials, and tools needed in electrical/wiring installation
2. Request appropriate supplies, materials, and tools for a specific job
3. Receive and inspect electrical supplies, materials and tools
III. – PROCEDURES
A. Daily Routine
Prayer
Greetings
Checking of Attendance
Checking of Assignment
Review of Past Lesson
B. Motivation:
Audio-Visual Presentation about Electrical Supplies and Materials
C. Presentation
The teacher will now present the topic that should be discussed for the day as well as the
presentation of the objectives.
D. Discussion:
As a student in Electrical Installation and Maintenance you should acquire the
important knowledge and skills in wire splices and joints and should be familiar with the
actual application of every splice and joint. This will serve as your tool in performing actual
wiring installation. Of course, another factor is the knowledge in interpreting and analyzing
the wiring diagram especially if the circuit is complicated.
The following are the Common Electrical Wire Splices and Joints.
APPLICATION:
F. GENERALIZATION:
The teacher will ask question to the learners:
1. What is the importance of knowing the use of knowing the different splices and joint of wire in
learning Electrical Installation and Maintenance?
IV – EVALUATION
Directions: Identify the following types of Wire Splices and Joint.
_______________ 1. This is used extensively for outside wiring to extend the length
_______________ 2. It has the same application done as in plain tap and the only difference is
that this tap is a combination of two plain taps place side by side with each other.
_______________3. This kind of joint is commonly used to join two or more conductors inside the
junction box.
_______________4. This is used where the tap wire is under considerable tensile stress circuit.
_______________ 5. This is used where the tap wire is under heavy tensile stress.
V. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation. Amethyst, Jade
B. No. of learners who require additional activities for Amethyst, Jade
remediation who scored below
C. Did the remedial learners lessons work? No. learners who Amethyst, Jade
caught up with the lesson.
D. No. learners who continue to require remediation. Amethyst, Jade
E. Which of my teaching strategies worked well? Why did this
work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter which my principal or
superior can help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized materials did I use/discover
which I wish to share with other teachers?
