CONCLUSIONS

Based on the research conducted, the Philippines is exposed to typhoons and

earthquakes, so the researchers aim to create alternative roof sealants out of natural
materials such as jackfruit, banana peels and rubber tree latex and test its capabilities.
Study performed that the following were the conclusions drawn. It was proven that there
was a significant effect of this alternative as roof sealants to stop water leaks from the
roofs whenever it rains. The researcher combined the constituents which are jackfruit,
banana peels and rubber tree latex by heating the ingredients to form a tacky substance
that was used as an alternative sealant. Carpenters, plumbers and even ordinary
household members are the beneficiaries of the said alternative sealants.
The jackfruit, banana peels and rubber tree latex mixtures are possible eco-
friendly and inexpensive solution for sealing common household leakages The
researchers found out that using alternative roof sealants is much cheaper because it
comes with natural ingredients which are the jackfruit, banana peels and rubber tree
latex, it is also safe to use because it is organic unlike to the commercialized roof
sealants that have chemicals and solvents like Stoddard Solvent, Mineral Oil, Toluene,
Xylene, and Polyurethane that are harmful to humans health, especially to the lungs
and it can also result in a tuberculosis diagnosis.

RECOMMENDATIONS
The following are the researchers’ recommendations on the study:
 The researchers suggest to recycle scraps came from fruits, one of which was
the banana peels because it can be recycled and used to lessen the waste in our
environment. There were many ways to lessen such waste to maintain
cleanliness in our surroundings and also to prevent harmful effects to humans
due to pollution.

 The researchers suggest to be patient when getting the sap from its fruit or tree
because you can get only a little amount in a jackfruit and its sap is very sticky.

 The researchers also recommend for the accurate measurement of ingredients

for better outcomes.

 The researchers also advise to use cooking oil to remove the excess sap on the
hands.
