Then answer the following questions:

Would you choose local products over products from these foreign companies? Why?

- Without looking at the list that I’ve created, I would choose local products over the products from foreign
companies. Because the consumption of our local products will help us support the things that is made here in the
Philippines that can boost our economy to grow and for us to share these local products around the world so that
they can also experience what we have here. We should be proud of what we the Filipinos can do and support it.

With what you have listed, do you have ideas where and when these companies started to produce goods?

- I don’t know the exact where or when these companies started to produce goods but I think what I’ve listed above
is mostly produced outside of the Philippines.

What do you think is the relation of consuming products to our subject?

- The relationship of consuming products to our subject “The Contemporary World” is that the consuming products
should adapt to the modern era. It should always be consistent with the change that is taking place in the world.
Because we all know that the world is constantly changing and some or most of the products back then are
disappearing because they have not kept up with today’s modern time. The example of this is the Kodak wherein it
is a camera with replaceable film. Despite this, new goods are being developed to meet modern-day demands, such
as internet services, online education, and smartphones.
What is the difference between the standard of living and the quality of life?

- The difference between the standard of living and the quality of life is that the standard of living focuses on the
materialistic way of living, such as the wealth, physical satisfaction material things and measurable attributes while
the quality of life focuses on the way we feel living this life, being satisfied, happy, healthy and contented with what
we have in life. It basically says that standard of living fixates on material things, whereas the quality of life
emphasizes immaterial things.
