 Autobiography

My name is Jorge Lopez, I was born on September 18, 1991, in the city of Puerto Cortes,
where I have lived. During my 30 years, I grew up in a humble home, sometimes with
many needs, but in which our parents always helped us. They gave a great teaching, in
1998 I started at the "30 de Mayo" school, which in that year happened the hurricane
MITCH, which destroyed much of the north coast.

I was there until 1999, which in 2000 I studied at the "Dionisio de Herrera" school, until
ninth grade, during this period of time I met many friends, who are no longer with us, living
in a quite dangerous neighborhood, most of my friends died before their 25th birthday.
In 2006, at the end of November, I did not know my future if I was going to continue my
studies, first because of the lack of economic income and another because I did not know
what I wanted to study, but at that time a commission of teachers from the institute arrived
" Franklin Delano Roosevelt" to show us the different careers that that institute had, as a
matter of fate, the Computer Technician career caught my attention, which not only had
the title of technician, but also offered the Bachelor's degree which gave us I gave a direct
pass to the university, with great enthusiasm I spoke with my parents about that career,
which they decided to part with a part of the property to be able to pay for my studies.

Year 2007, a year with many pros and cons, I started to study the career of Computer
Technician, without ever having touched a computer, without having one at home, but
with all the attitude to undertake this new challenge, the first months were devastating for
me, something new that I did not understand and I only observed that my colleagues had
experience, for them it was normal to go to a cyber pay to chat and play, but I had never
touched something like that, well programming was a hard blow for me in the first few
quarters, but then I made the decision that I was not going to collapse and managed to
be one of the best in my class at the end of the year.
During Christmas this year, some courses were taught at the Puerto Cortes Naval Base,
which taught how to repair computers, I wanted to learn, but I did not have the resources,
so I talked to the teacher so that he would let me be in the classes and helped him in the
following hours, something that was the beginning of this knowledge which I currently
have. That teacher was Walter Cruz, a teacher who was not selfish with knowledge and
taught me a lot.

The following year was something normal, it passed without any mishap until 2009, when
many things happened in our country, at the beginning there was an earthquake that
caused damage to the north coast, and a month later the coup d'état which by far time
we couldn't attend to receive our classes, but we ended up graduating that year.
Year 2010, I start my working life, starting a temporary job in a karaoke, which I designed
the system that was used to select the songs of the place, I was working two months for
reasons of night hours, I accepted a job as a seller of accessories of telephones in San
Pedro Sula, being at that time the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, something I remember
because I bought the shirt of Spain before it was world champion, after two months I
started working in a supermarket in the city, as technical support .

At the end of this year, I met the person who was my partner in the following years, but
we are not dating until the following year, in 2013 we decided to take the next step of
getting together, but it was a decision that I am not sure of until now. that it was good,
because everything we lived before disappeared, it was a brutal change, we only lasted
until 2015, when we parted ways.
I go back a few years because in 2012 I founded my company Multiservitec with some
friends, which was a great school for many years until it disappeared in 2019, during this
period many people reached out to us, others tried to destroy us, but we continued
standing, in 2015 one of the partners separated from the company starting the problems
that led to the destruction of the company.

In 2013, I stopped working at the supermarket to take care of the company, but for
reasons that did not provide the necessary income, I started working at the Franklin
Delano Roosevelt Institute as a Programming and Computer Science professor, but only
for a few months, leaving a legacy towards my students of the form of teaching not
provided by many colleagues in the same school.

During the next few years, they were very hard because the separation and the company
left me with many problems, but in 2019 I started working at “La Nueva Comercial”
Hardware Store, being an apprenticeship in the accounting area until July 15, 2022, which
start work at the Puerto Cortes Customs.
During these last years I started studying the Computer Engineering degree at UTH, but
for money reasons I had to leave it for many years, in 2015 I started the Public Accounting
degree in the self-employed, which due to strike reasons I also had to stop. until, during
the pandemic, I resume my career at UTH University, being one of the times that I
progress the most since I am in the last stage of my career with only 15 classes missing.

Well, here I am sitting at my desk writing this Autobiography for the English class and I
hope that the next few years will be successful and fruitful, success Jorge Lopez.
