In the subjects that you have taken when you were in your secondary
years and college years, recall and identify the existence of the different
types of curriculum operating in your school. Write it down on the matrix

CURRICULUM EXAMPLES

Recommended Removal of Filipino subjects in college


On the 9th of October 2018, the Supreme Court supported the legality of
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in removing the Filipino and
Philippine Literature from the General Education in colleges and universities.

The grounds on this is that the said subjects were already taught in the Basic
Education Curriculum. The Basic Education curriculum consists the following:
Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High School, and Senior High School.

Hidden One of the example is by simply being on time in class. Some schools
would always give emphasis about the importance of time. Another
example is that working well with peers. There are some teachers who
wanted to develop a child’s social interaction and with the help of group
works, and class participation, the teacher is succeeding on his goal.

Written A very common example for this is the teacher’s lesson plan which
serves as a teacher’s guide in delivering the lessons needed by students
to learn.

Taught In a Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE), when a cookery is being


taught by students already, there will be a time where they will have a
practical and cook a specific dish together with their groupmates. In that
way, the teacher will also determine the learnings of the students.

Supported Visual aids (digital or the physical copy), video presentations, are some
of the examples of it.
Assessed Examinations, Quizzes, Prelims, Summative Tests, and even assignments
given were examples of it.

Learned Performance Assessment is one of the common examples in the learned


curriculum.
