Welcome
Good morning to everyone and a very hearty welcome to all the dignitaries,
teachers, seniors and my batch mates.  We are honored to have Mrs. Aliya Ahsan ,
the Director of Bloomfield Hall Sahiwal as the Chief Guest on this very special
day and we are extremely happy to welcome you, Ma’am. As you know, today we
have gathered here for the Opening Ceremony of the celebration week of the 25th
anniversary of our school.
The school today stands proudly to complete its twenty five years with such an
excellent performance not only in academics but also in all the other activities.
We are very proud to be a part of this BHS family and I am so grateful to welcome
our students to the commencement ceremony of Festivista for the celebration of
the foundation of Bloomfield Hall Sahiwal.

Intro

‘Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world’

The success of any educational institution is determined by the impact it creates in

young minds. These are the minds that will one day grow to become the pioneers
of this generation. To answer their questions of ‘what’, ‘why’, and ‘how’ is proof
of the fact that learning is a lifelong process and to facilitate such inquisitive
thought, the need for worthy and capable practitioners, academicians, and teachers
is an absolute necessity.
Bloomfield Hall School Sahiwal is one such institution that has grown from
strength to strength in the past 25 years since its inception. The school’s greatest
accomplishment is to see its students ride the road of not only much deserved
success, but to see them exercise profound wisdom in their actions, maintaining
clarity of thought, and feel a deep seated urge to change the world.
As Bloomfield Hall School Sahiwal celebrates a milestone of significant
achievements, it is simultaneously writing a history that marks it as a school that
believes in the strength and capability of every child and promises to nurture every
inquisitive mind that walks its grounds to the best of its ability. Through the hard
work of its visionary Director Mrs. Aliya Ahsan, Principal Mr. AbdulRasheed,
diligent Academic Co-ordinators, endeavoring teachers, and relentless
support staff, Bloomfield Hall School Sahiwal is ready to take on new challenges
to ensure that it provides an environment of constant education and learning that
makes a difference.
The corridors of the school ring with cheer and joy as they witness its 25th Year
celebration in much gusto. In the midst of the bells of joy, you can hear the
promise the school is making, to every child, to work towards ensuring a future for
them that is brilliant and bright.

Dear audience, to commemorate the 25th anniversary with much festivity

Bloomfield Hall Sahiwal has planned a whole week of exciting activities where
students can participate in different games and Stem activities with great fervor
and make this occasion a memorable one. Here we have the details of all the
activities for the interested students. These activities will begin today and will
continue 4 days until 24 November. However, for the convenience of the
participants these STEM activities and games are divided into four categories.

Category 1 includes 9th Sheikh Abdul Hafeez Inter- school Bilingual

Declamation Contest… The purpose of declamation is to inculcate in our students
the skill of public speaking and the ability to address the audience with confidence
and enthusiasm and Bloomfield Hall, has never neglected this particular art of
public speaking. In this category, Classes of O&A Level including Matric and
Intermediate colleges will take part in the contest.

Category 2 includes Art Mania …Art is more than a source of pleasure and
means towards healthy emotional development. It enriches lives in many ways and
teaches learners about color, layout, perspective, and balance . Art Mania is divided
into sub events that include Thematic Art and Calligraphy. Thematic Art which
involves Painting and Sketching further has two categories. In Juniors’
Category students from Grade 6 to O level including Matric and in Seniors’
Category students from A level including FSc will participate. However, in
Calligraphy students from O&A Level including Matric/FSc will participate.

Category 3 includes To Infinity and Beyond that involves STEM-based

activities. STEM-based education teaches children more than science and
mathematics concepts. The focus on hands-on learning with real-world
applications helps develop a variety of skill sets, including creativity and 21 st-
century skills. This event comprises of following three sub-events:

1) The Mind Fuzz that includes Science quiz and students from Grade 6-8
will participate in this event.
2) Science Combat which involves Project making and students from O&A
Level including Matric/FSc will participate in this event.
3) Scavenger Hunt these will be Mental Maths activities and students from
Grade 6 – O&A Level including Matric/FSc will participate in these
activities.

Category 4 includes Sports. Participating in athletics has been known to improve

the cognitive and memory functions of the brain, helping kids perform better in
tests and academics. Further, traits such as discipline and perseverance also play an
important part in better academic performance. This Category includes different
Outdoor and Indoor games like Football Cricket Table Tennis Badminton
Chess Tug of War Discus Throw Arm Wrestling Javelin Throw and E-Sports
are also the part of this event that includes FIFA 23, Clash Royale, Tekken 7.

Permission & Balloon Release

Dear audience, now our Prep School Prefect, Abdullah Khawar ….Pre-
Juniors’ prefect Muhammad…. Junior School prefect Hussain Roshan
and….. the upper school prefect, Hazique Sidhoo will be releasing a bunch of
balloons to declare the Festivista open.
Flag Raising & National Anthem

I am delighted to declare the Festivista open. I would invite the Prep School
Prefect, Abdullah Khawar to come forward for Flag Raising ceremony and I
request all to stand up for the National Anthem.

Dear students, I would like to inform you that different groups are formed for
your convenience and here I would introduce and invite the members of these

Bloomfield Hall Sahiwal has been functioning as a modern English medium school
providing British Qualification (O levels and A levels) for the last 25 years in
Sahiwal. The school has always promoted co-curricular activities for the
development of student’s personality. The members of Debating Society have been
participating in different competitions arranged by the Debating Society of
Pakistan and prestigious competition like Shahjiwana International Debating
Championship. This year the Debating Society of Bloomfield Hall Sahiwal is
organizing the 9th Sheikh Abdul Hafeez Inter-school Bilingual Declamation
Contest. This contest is an opportunity, not only for the students to excel in their
academic careers but also for the schools to promote their co-curricular activities.
These extracurricular activities help the students to enroll in the best universities
and as well as boost their confidence which helps in the development of their
personality.

Director’s address

Now the esteemed personality who has consumed herself to change the society and
light the darkness in the life of the children, the Director of Bloomfield Hall
Sahiwal Ma’am Aliya Ahsan is requested to come on the stage and address the
audience.

With this our ceremony comes to an end but before I bid farewell I would like to
thank our dear teachers. They work endlessly to shape young lives and make them
good citizens for society. Their tremendous efforts are commendable.

I would like to appreciate all the students for their presence all fresh, happy and
excited about the performances which are about to start. I wish good luck to all the
students participating in games. Also, I pray that you all may do your best.
