Designed by the Happy Valley Counseling Department, this calendar was made to emphasize transparency in our plans for the year. Through a variety of focus, classroom guidance, 1-1 meetings, small groups, and school support, we hope to promote a student body that shows awareness and action. Please

invited to our spring dance. All decorations
will be involving filling and emptying our
love buckets. The counseling team will hold
a booth where the students can fill their love

7th Grade Promotion: Hold “open office” during
break, lunch, and recess where students can come in to
receive mental health merchandise and set up a 1-1
meeting with me for the following school year.

 Provided is an Annual School Counseling Calendar intended for a high-achieving magnet school in a suburban area. Factored in are the needs of

students commonly in this population, and recognized are the the opportunities for diverse population relevance and unique experiences B-SS 10. The areas

of need are based on a needs assessment from the year prior, and will be tailored according to this year’s feedback. Classroom visits, group meetings, and

individual meetings will support students’ academic/career and social/emotional needs M6. Outside of direct intervention, students, teachers, and all staff

will be supported via school environment through events, activities, and meetings via the counseling department. The Counseling Department’s focus is to

look at the child as whole, tending to accommodated and personal needs in order to best support student’s present and future B-LS 7. In achieving this,

students will be able to take care of their emotional and physical wellbeing in order to handle adversity and inspire others (Worzbyt et al., 2003, p. 223).
