SYNOPSIS – BEACH RESORT

1.1 AN OVERVIEW

A resort is a single roof and commercial facility with different amenities

for guests other than resting their heads. Like motels, resorts can be
located anywhere in the world. The modern resorts offer different
accommodation packages at different rates, depending on their amenities.
Classification of resorts depends on where they are, nearby attractions
like beaches, and many others.

1.2 INTRODUCTION

A Beach Resort is a full services holiday lodging facility, located at the

seaside, with access to a private beach. The beach being the primary focus
for tourists. A Beach Resort offers a wide range of services and amenities
and typically includes entertainment and recreational activities. The
benefits to go at Beach Resort are that the guest finds not only the
proximity to the beach but also an all-around service within the premises.
It is convenient for families, offering club, evening entertaining program,
shopping etc. In cases the Resort is located far away from the city, the
Resort provides all the infrastructure needed (it is a village itself). Often
a Beach Resort is used as a wedding location (with a beach setting
ceremony, wedding planner on side. a photographer, a hair dresser, and
a beauty salon etc.) This report is made on Proposed Beach Resort for
Thesis Project, showing all related research works, data and proposed
architectural design of Resort.
