Water is one of the essential needs that the world can not live without.

From a human body

needing to intake as much as eight glasses per day, to the crops and livestocks depending on
the sources of water available. In our country, there are different bodies of water available like
sea, lakes, rivers, and such. However, with the continuous problem of contamination and abuse,
these waters suffer the consequences of pollution.

The film showed the four critical regions were found to have insufficient water quality and
quantity. Namely, National Capital Region (Metro Manila), Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog, and
Central Visayas. This arises from the problems concerning water pollution of which were the
result of wasteland discharge both from industrialization and urbanization. Major health issues
increase as kids and adults suffer from the sickness brought by these contaminated waters. Red
tides were constantly attacking marine life, resulting in fatalities as those affected by poisoning
surges. There are also economic losses and tourism is highly affected. On the other hand,
actions resolving the problem are giving way to help the issues concerning water pollution.
There were policies, institutional arrangements for the management of water resources, and
investments for water pollution control which are helpful in solving the problem. However,
people should also take their parts and should help in ways they can. Through everyone's effort,
there could be changes and those changes will benefit both nature and the people.

Everyone needs water, and that's a fact. Things that cause its destruction should be
acknowledged and taken action. Everyone is responsible for everyone is benefiting from water.
The film explained clearly how water pollution affects the environment, economy, and most of
all, the health of everyone. That's why solving the problem should be one of the top priority,
considering that some other issues could arise if ignored. If each and everyone takes their part
in helping, there could be a great change where restoration and beautification of our bodies of
water is possible. Water is a gift, and taking care of it is one of our duties for it is the top
essential need of ourselves and the nature that surrounds us.
