 INTRODUCTION
M/s. Becquerel Industries Pvt. Ltd Nagpur - an Associate of M/s. Saitron Engineers Pvt. Ltd -
established in the year 1996. BIPL is a progressive Non-Destructive Testing Company since last
two decades - Registered under the Companies Act, 1956. During the last two decades since its
inception - BIPL has built up excellent facilities and expertise for Testing & Analysis in the field
of Non - Destructive Evaluation (NDE) of Thermal Power Station Plant - Process Industry -
Cement Manufacturing Industry - Refinery - Foundry/Casting Industry and Locomotives and
Heavy Industry for their equipment like Boilers - Turbines - Reactor & its components. The
Non-Destructive Tests were carried out by BIPL, Nagpur are Visual Examination, Ultrasonic
testing, Magnetic particle test, Dye Penetrant Testing, In-Situ Metallography (Replication),
Thickness measurement, Hardness measurements, Fibroscopic Inspection, Deposit Analysis,
Failure Analysis, Corrosion Mapping, Eddy Current tests and In-situ Oxide Scale Measurement,
Stress Reliving (SR), Radiographic Testing etc. BIPL is also carrying out the Condition
Assessment of RCC & Steel Structures in Power Plants and Process Industries.

The processes of BIPL and SEPL are interfaced and mutually well supported - by the way of

 PERSONNEL SAFETY

Gamma Radiography Systems emit high levels of radiation during use. An unshielded source at
close range can use serious injury, sickness or death to anyone who is exposed to it even for a
short period. It is very important to prevent access by unauthorized persons to radiographic
equipment and to the areas where radiography is performed.

Considering this factor - we are always giving much importance to personnel safety and
extending the training only by properly trained and qualified radiographers - who are well aware
about the safety of the radiographic equipment.

The radiographers are working under the control of the Site In-charge, certified by Bhabha
Atomic Research Centre. The overall radiation activities that are monitored by Radiological
Safety Officer (R.S.O) are approved by Atomic Energy Regulatory Board.

The above legal / mandatory requirements are fulfilled by our Concern while considering Safety.
Radiography is conducted in the closed enclosure at our premises. Process / operation if
conducted at customer premises / open floor, cordoning of area, warning alarm/siren and other
safety actions will be taken by our Crew. For Safety, TLD Card, Radiation Dosimeter, Radiation
Survey Meter are wearied and used by us.

TRAINING

Periodical Training will be provided to our personnel both in Non-Destructive Testing Methods
and Safety. The personnel are further engaged in Human Resource Development, Motivation
Program - by which they are excellently and satisfactorily trained for better workmanship.
