Notes and Reminders:

● Homework: Homework for the week (Reading Tic Tac Toe and Math Homelinks) is due by
Friday each week. The purpose of the homework is to reinforce the concepts we are learning
in school.
● Conferences are on March 29th. I am offering both in person and virtual options. Please fill out
the spreadsheet that has been sent. It is a nonattendance day for students.

● Spring Break is April 3 - 7.

● The classroom is in need of both sanitizing wipes and facial tissue. We are grateful for

Here is What We Are Working On This Week:

Math
● Our math lessons this week will focus on
using a half-circle protractor, angle
measures as additive, and number stories
with fractions and mixed numbers.
● Students will take their weekly progress
check on Friday.
● At the beginning of math each day,
students are either working on their
multiplication facts, a daily math practice
which reinforces past and current
concepts, word problems, or division.
Reading
● We will most likely finish our class novel
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.
● For literacy centers; students will be given
a contract of activities they are to
complete throughout the week.
● During guided reading this week, we will
read a short passage on Greek mythology
and do a related activity.

Social Studies Science

● Midwest Region of the United States ● Energizing Everything: Lesson 1 Speed
● Current Events and Energy
● Mystery Science Mini Lesson

Writing Spelling
● Women’s History Month ● Each week students will be given a
spelling list in class and will do related
activities.
● There will be a spelling progress check on
Friday.
