Human Heart

Anatomy :
• Human heart is a muscular organ .
• Human heart is a pear shaped and is a size of your fist .
• It is located on your left side of chest inbetween 2 lungs .
• It is divided into 2 halves .
• Has four chambers .
• Upper chambers called right & left atrium and lower chambers
called right & left ventricles .
• It is an organ that pumps blood through body .
• Main organ of Circulatory system .
Circulation:
• It pumps blood through veins and arteris .
• Aorta is main artery of body .
• Vena cava is main vein of body .
• Veins bring waste blood from body to right side of heart .
• Waste blood contains carbon dioxide .
• Right side of heart pumps blood to lungs .
• In lungs carbon dioxide is removed .
• Fresh pure oxygen blood is sent to left side of heart from lungs .
• Left heart pumps pure blood to whole body by arteries .
Problems of Heart :

• Regular heart beats 72 times per minute .


• If it beats slow less than 60 it is called bradycardia .
• If it beats fast more than 100 it is called tachycardia .
• If it stops it is cardiac arrest .
• In Heart attack part of cardiac muscle dies .
Prevention of Heat Attack :
1.Healthy foods
2.Maintain good habits
3.Exercise regularly
4.Regular health checkup

Healthy foods:
Vegetables such as leafy greens (spinach, cabbage), broccoli, and carrots
Fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, pears, grapes, and Avocados.
Whole grains such as brown rice, and whole-grain
Fat-free or low-fat dairy foods such as milk, cheese, or yogurt
Protein-rich foods: Fish , Eggs , Nuts , Soy products , Falx seeds
Legumes such as kidney beans, lentils, chickpeas, black-eyed peas, and lima beans
Oils and foods high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats:
Corn, olive, safflower, sesame, sunflower, and soybean oils (not coconut or palm oil)
Nuts such as walnuts, almonds .

Good habits :
No Smoking
No Alcohol
No processed foods
Limit salt in your diet
Sleep early and get up early
Meditation for stress free life

Exercise :
30min per day for 5 days a week
Brisk walking, running, swimming, cycling, playing tennis and jumping rope

Health checkup :
Sugar , Blood pressure , Cholesterol every year once .
