Sub: Umbrella works for Major Upgradation of Railway stations on Indian Railways.
Ref: Board’s Letter no.

Board (M/Infra) has decided to assign the following stations to Zonal Railways for redevelopment
work:
1. Ujjain – Western Railway (WR)
2. Hatia – South Eastern Railway (SER)
3. Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Coimbatore – Southern Railway (SR)
4. Raipur and Durg – South East Central Railway (SECR)
5. Vijayawada and Hyderabad – South Central Railway (SCR)

The Master Plans of these stations are being prepared by RLDA. WR, SER, SR, SECR, SCR and
RLDA are advised to initiate tendering process for the above e.g. nomination of dedicated teams for
execution of these works, training of these teams for handling EPC contracts, collection of the
Master plans and relevant data from RLDA, check site feasibility, prepare and invite tenders.
Finalization of tenders or incurring any liability should not be permitted till the formal sanction of
works are communicated and estimates are sanctioned.
General Managers are also advised to assign the Project Unit (Construction/Gati Shakti Unit)
for execution of above station redevelopment works.
