 MOTIVATION LETTER

Hello, my name is Bella Yofrisanda. My friends usually call me Bella, and I’m a first-year
member of CIMSA USU. As a freshman, learning in the faculty of medicine is something new and
quite different than high school. In the beginning, I find it’s quite challenging, especially moving
across the country, and getting into an unfamiliar city makes it feel like a whole new world. The
first thing that I try to find when I got accepted as a medical student was an organization that can
help me to learn along with giving an impact on society, and then I found CIMSA. I tried to dig
more about CIMSA and the opportunities that it offers, and I found it quite interesting and
decided to keep an eye out until CIMSA USU opens the registration for the new member. Being
part of CIMSA for about 6 months has given me a lot of opportunities and experiences that I
could not get elsewhere. Then today, I got the information about the May Meeting and got
excited right away since I have been anticipating this national meeting since the last National
Meeting I attended which was National Leadership Summit. I got more excited since I had
attended the previous National Meeting and found this program could help me to learn more with
the training that it offers and also it is also a great chance to get to know fellow members of
CIMSA from other locals and make some new friends, especially from region 1 because based on
my knowledge there will be a regional session where every delegate from the same region will
gather together and get close to each other. Besides that, I am also curious about the candidates
for National Officials since in May Meeting there will be a Plenary Session to choose who will be
the next National Officials. Personally, I am looking forward to the Training Session, because I
want to broaden my knowledge as a new trainer by learning from the training given by
experienced trainers, so I can be one of those amazing trainers of CIMSA in the future.
