    Dear Mr. Sanderson-

    On behalf of my 8th grade English class, I would like to invite you to visit us, to give us tips on successful
    creative writing. We love your work, particularly The Rithmatist, and would like some pointers on how to
    make great things of our own. This would fit in well with our upcoming creative writing unit.

    If you so choose, we would like to meet you on January 17 th of 2023. Please be prepared to give a short
    presentation and answer questions. Being in January, you should have plenty of time to prepare.

    We would greatly appreciate it if you could come. We will await your reply. Thank you for considering!
