“48 hours and no sleep” (introduction 1)

It had been a pleasant summer vacation in Mexico. We drove to the airport and with many tears,

waved goodbye to our grandma. We waited for a long time to board the plane, and when we

finally did, we ran excitedly and took our seats. My sisters started quarrelling about the window

seat, and my brother sat (next to the window) observing the wing of the airplane. I was

investigating the screen in front of my seat, trying to figure out how to turn it on. At last, my

mother found a way to bring peace to my sisters, and one sat with my brother and the other next

to my mom. Finally, the captain proclaimed the beginning of the flight and the motor started to

run.

“48 hours and no sleep” (introduction 2)

My grandma drove us to the airport in Mexico City and told us what a beautiful summer we had

passed with her. She bade us to greet my father in Madrid whenever we arrived there.

Eventually, we arrived at the airport and waved and kissed her goodbye. We got our luggage

checked and strolled around the airport just to pass the time. When it was time to board the
plane, my sisters wrangled about the great window seat, but by the time the plane had taken off,

everyone was in their seats, looking out the window peacefully and admiring the speed of the

plane.
