Dream it, Reach it and Chase it

Nowadays, many people are suffering from widespread diseases that

causes illness or even worst, death. As a human being, I cannot ignore this issue
and live my life to the fullest. I am Rechelle Aquino, grade 12 STEM student in
Moncada Catholic School aspiring to become a nurse someday.

Nursing is described by many as a calling that offers a huge sense of

purpose, devotion and fulfillment. They said nurse is considered as heroes
because they save lives everyday, and this is a matter of fact. I want to be helpful
to a certain person who are suffering from pain. I’d like to take away even a
slightest burden that they are carrying. Having a disease is not easy, it will cost
you energy, time and money. Nevertheless, the greatest reason why I want to
be a nurse is because I witness a person died because of shortage in personnel
staff in the hospital.

On the other hand, I chose Science, Technology, Engineering, and

Mathematics (STEM) strand because under this track, you can become a nurse.
At first, I was actually hesitant to chose this strand because I was still undecided
on what I’ll do on future. I experience some hardship on deciding because of
family and personal issues. Fortunately, I chose STEM because there are a lot of
fields under this track. I am also gaining more knowledge and skill because of
the lesson or information that they are teaching. Also I always feel excitement
and enjoyment everyday on my class because of the education and also because
of my classmates.

At the moment, I am grateful that I am one step closer at my dream. I am

learning and growing day by day. As I continue to step forward, I will enjoy and
cherish every moment that I am experiencing right now. I believe that chasing
my dreams will take determination, self-will, and passion to achieve and hold
my future. And that is my goal that I’m reaching right now.
