Dear Adrianna Almanza:

I am writing with interest in the elementary teacher position that is was posted for Grand Rapids Public
Schools. I have been a substitute teacher with EDUStaff for 2 years while holding mostly long-term
substitute teaching positions. I am also an upcoming graduate in the education program offered by Baker
College. I am hoping to join the GRPS family and continue teaching at Buchanan Elementary, where I am
currently long-term subbing and doing my student teaching.

I have a love for the teaching profession and know I can make a difference in my students lives. I see that
every day while I’m in my current placement. I love the welcoming communities that have accepted me
and have seen great progress from starting the school year to the current placement in the school year. At
Buchanan Elementary, I am proud to exit some of my students out of the IRIP program.

I feel that I would be a great asset to the GRPS and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for the
