SOLAR PUMP MONITOR

Important note
AC, DC or solar power, if not handled properly, may cause harm to the
human body. Mounng and connecng the monitor, as well as opening
the lid for any internal operaons, must be performed by a qualified
technician using the appropriate safety tools. The shell must have reliable
and good grounding to ensure personal safety.
Installaon Recommendaons:
1.AC power supply must be connected to the ACL/CAN end. The switch,
contactor and other accessories used for connecon must fully consider
the requirements of voltage and power. The main power supply circuit
must be cut off before connecon.
2.The solar panel must be connected to the DC+/DC - terminal. Note that
as long as there is light, the power supply will have power output. The
switch and other accessories used must fully consider the requirements
of the highest possible output voltage and power.
3.When the baery is used as the backup power supply, it shall be
connected to ACL/CAN terminal.
4.Aer the connecon is completed and before the switch is turned on
and powered on, it is necessary to fully check whether all connecons
are correct and reliable.

4. Power connection and judgment of overvoltage and undervoltage
DC+/DC-: Can be connected to solar power, battery and DC power supply
ACL/CAN: Can be connected to AC power, battery, DC power supply, but not solar power.
Requirement:
(1) The solar power supply must be connected to DC+/DC -, otherwise the control logic may
be wrong.
(2) DC+/DC - cannot be connected to AC power supply, otherwise [E 10] error is reported.
5. Main function
(1) Three operating modes: automatic mode, AC mode, DC mode.
In the automatic mode, the power supply of the DC terminal is connected first, and the AC is only
connected when the DC voltage is lower than the starting voltage (150V) or the operating power
is low. If the time switch function is turned on, only the AC power supply is turned on during the
night time period, and the above-mentioned DC power supply priority strategy is adopted only
during the sunshine time period.
In AC mode, only the AC power supply is connected When the AC is under-voltage then stops
running.
In DC mode, only the power supply of the DC terminal is connected, and the DC is under-voltage
or lower than the starting voltage (150V), then the operation is stopped.
(2) Low power or low flow judgment
When the water outlet is connected to the flowmeter to judge whether the water is discharged,
the SW2 should be turned to the ON position, and when it is not connected, the SW2 should be
turned to the OFF position. When SW2=ON, only low flow is judged; When SW2=OFF, only low
power is judged. Both will not be judged at the same time.
(3) AC and DC power supply timing switching function
Reasonably set parameters P3.1 and P3.2, which can be switched to solar power supply for
operation after sufficient sunshine every morning; In the afternoon, after the sun disappears,
switch to the standby power supply (AC or battery) for operation.
If P3.1=P3.2 is set, the timing switching function is invalid (the factory default is invalid).
(4) Time switch function
Timing start-up: P3.3 startup time needs to be set, and P3.4 shutdown time needs to be set for
scheduled shutdown.
When P3.3=P3.4 is set, the timing startup/shutdown function is invalid (the factory default is
invalid).
(5) Auto start generator function (See Chapter III, Section 10 )
6. Switching between the three modes
After power on, the AUTO indicator light is on, which defaults to the automatic mode. Press the
Mode key, the AUTO light is off, the M-AC light is on, and enter the AC mode. Press the Mode key
again, then the M-AC light will go out and the M-DC light will turn on, and enter the DC mode. In
this way, the mode key can be used to switch among the three operation modes.
7. Error code
E 00 - Wait for the generator to start (SW1 = ON)
E 01 - AC undervoltage or power failure
E 02 - DC undervoltage or power failure
E 03 - Both AC and DC power supplies are undervoltage or power failure
E 04 - Overcurrent protection
E 06 - DC voltage is lower than starting value
E 05 - Hardware failure

Chapter II Timing function setting and description
1. Parameter setting of timing function:
P3.0 [hh.mm] [00.00-23.59] Current time, set the real-time time of the monitor [hh.mm]。
P3.1 [00.00] [00.00-23.59] AC-TO-DC switching time in the morning [hh.mm]。
P3.2 [00.00] [00.00-23.59] DC-TO-AC switching time in the afternoon [hh.mm]。
P3.3 [00.00] [00.00-23.59] Timed power-on time [hh.mm]。
P3.4 [00.00] [00.00-23.59] Timed shutdown time [hh.mm]。
2. Parameter Description
P3.0 Current time - internal real time of the monitor
If the timing switching function or timing startup/shutdown function is set, the internal
time of the monitor must be set accurately. If these two functions are not set, whether
the internal time is correct can be ignored. The setting format is 24-hour format [hh. mm].
Note: If real-time time is required, the battery shall be installed on the 3.0V battery holder.
P3.1 Power switching time in the morning [hh. mm] (24-hour system).
In the morning, the solar power will be connected for operation or switched from AC to
solar power for operation at this time.
According to the local situation, set the time when the sunshine intensity in the morning
can reach the effective operation requirement of the system.
P3.2 Power switching time in the afternoon [hh.mm] (24-hour system).
In the afternoon, the solar power will be turned off at this time, or the solar power will be
switched to AC power for operation.
According to the local situation, set the time when the sunshine intensity in the afternoon
is lower than the effective operation requirement of the system.
Note: Setting P3.1=P3.2 will cancel the timing switching function.
Effective operation: refers to the operating power provided by the power supply, which can
overcome the system lift and ensure continuous water outflow from the outlet.
P3.3 Timed power-on time. When the internal clock runs to this time, it starts automatically.
P3.4 Timed shutdown time. When the internal clock runs to this time, it will automatically shut
down.
Note: Setting P3.3=P3.4 will cancel the automatic startup/shutdown function.
After automatic startup, once manually shut down, it will not restart. After automatic shutdown,
once the machine is started manually, it will not be shut down again.
Division of "sunshine period" and "night period":
Periods are divided only in automatic mode.
Set p3.1 as a certain time in the morning and p3.2 as a certain time in the afternoon. The monitor
will regard the time between the two parameters during the day as the sunshine period. The rest
of the time is considered as night time.
If p3.1=p3.2 is set, all time is considered as sunshine period.
Sunshine period: Give priority to connecting the solar power supply. If the power is too low or
the DC power supply is too low, the AC power supply can be switched.
Night time: only connect AC power for operation.
3. Parameter setting
When timing switch function or timing startup/shutdown function is required, the clock value of
the monitor should be correct. This requires entering the current correct time. The input steps
are as follows:
(1) Press and hold the SET key for 2 seconds to enter the setting interface.
(2) Adjust the parameter code to [p 3.0]
(3) Press Enter key to display [mm. nn] -- the current clock value of the monitor in 24-hour
format. If the displayed value is the same as the current time, you can directly press Set key
to exit without modification.
(4) Adjust the current time correctly.
(5) Press Enter key to validate the input value.
(6) Press the Set key to exit the parameter operation state.
[p 3.1] [p 3.2] [p 3.3] [p 3.4] The setting steps are the same as above.

5. Content on the display screen during normal operation
(1) Current time: e.g. [16.45], 16:45 (With timing switching or timing startup/shutdown
function, this item is displayed).
(2) 320V DC terminal power supply voltage: e.g. [U320], no decimal point on the right of U,
means DC 320V
(3) 220VAC terminal power supply voltage: e.g. [U.220], there is a decimal point on the right of
U, means AC 220V
(4) Current: e.g. [C 9.6], marked by C, means 9.6A (AC or DC).
(5) Current power: e.g. [P1.52], marked by P, means 1.52KW.
Note: When DC undervoltage and the P-DC indicator is off, the item (2) above will not display.
When AC undervoltage and the P-AC indicator is off, the item (3) above will not display.
The above contents are displayed circularly with an interval of 4-5 seconds.
6. Indicator light display during normal operation:
(1) Power indicator
P-AC When the AC power is not connected, or the voltage of AC power is not within the
normal range, it is off. On the contrary, the light is on.
In automatic mode, this indicator flashes when operating with AC power supply.
P-DC When DC power is not connected, or the voltage of DC power is not within the
normal range, it is off. On the contrary, the light is on.
In automatic mode, this indicator flashes when operating with DC power supply.
(2) Operation mode indicator light AUTO, M-AC, M-DC
Which operation mode is currently selected, the corresponding indicator light will be on.
(3) Well In case of well water shortage, this light will be on.
(4) Tank When the water tank is full, this light will be on.
(5) Power Press the ON/OFF key, this light will light up, indicating that the system has started.
When the water is full or short, although the water pump stops running, the light

When this light is on, wait until the error disappears or the water full signal fails, the
water pump will automatically resume operation.
The Power light is off, indicating that the system is off. The water pump will not
operate.
7. Water tank full signal and treatment
(1) When the water tank is full, if the TL signal is connected, the signal is valid, the water pump
stops running, and [OFF] is displayed on the display screen, but the Power light is still on, and the
Tank indicator is also on.
(2) Keep the above display during the validity period of this signal.
(3) Once the signal is invalid, [OFF] is no longer displayed on the display screen, then enter the
countdown display of recovery. At this time, Tank remains lit to identify the trigger reason of the
countdown. Time to 0 and resume operation.
8. Well water shortage signal and treatment
(1) When the well is short of water, if the WL signal is connected, the signal is valid, the water
pump stops running, and [OFF] is displayed on the display screen, but the Power light is still on,
and the Well indicator is also on.
(2) Keep the above display during the valid period of this signal.
(3) Once the signal is invalid, [OFF] will no longer be displayed on the display screen, then enter
the countdown display of recovery. At this time, the Well light will still remain lit to identify the
trigger reason of the countdown. Time to 0 to resume operation.
9. The operating power is too low, or the water flow is too low
(1) Judgment of low power or low flow
When SW2=OFF, only low power is judged; When SW2=ON, only low flow is judged
When the operating power is lower than 250W and lasts for 60 seconds, a low power error
occurs.
When the number of output signal pulses of the flowmeter is less than 3 every 5 seconds, and
lasts for 60 seconds, a low flow error occurs.
(2) Low power and low flow treatment in AC mode
When an error occurs, stop the operation, and [E 07] is displayed on the display screen to enter
recovery timing. Resume operation after 15 minutes.
(3) Low power and low flow treatment of DC mode
When an error occurs, stop the operation, and [E 07] is displayed on the display screen to enter
recovery timing. After 15 minutes, if the current power supply has been able to provide sufficient
power, it will resume operation; otherwise, it will remain stopped until it is considered that the
current power supply can provide sufficient power, it will resume operation.
(4) Low power treatment in automatic mode
·At night time, only operate with AC power supply, the handling of errors is the same as (2)
·Low power treatment in sunshine period or without time division:
1) Occurs during DC operation. If there is no AC power supply or generator at this time,
stop the operation. The treatment is the same as above (3).
2) During DC operation, if there is an AC power supply or generator, it will switch to AC
power supply for operation and resume timing. After 15 minutes, if the current DC
power supply is considered to be able to provide sufficient power, return to the DC
power supply for operation; otherwise, keep the AC power supply running and wait
for the DC power supply to meet the appropriate conditions.
3) Occurs during AC operaon in automac mode, stops operaon and waits for recovery.
During this period, if the DC power supply is available, the DC power supply will be
restored; otherwise, the AC power supply will be connected again aer a long recovery
period.
10. Start generator
This monitor can complete the logic of automacally starng the generator through Gen signal
relay. When the DC power supply fails to meet the operaon requirements, the generator will be
started automacally to provide backup power for the system.
Note: When connecng the generator, the toggle switch SW1 must be turned to the ON
posion.
Starng the generator:
(1)In AC mode, press ON/OFF to start. If there is no AC power supply, [E 00] is displayed, and the
generator startup is controlled by Gen signal. During startup, the above state shall be maintained
during the period when the AC voltage is lower than the undervoltage value. Aer the generator
starts and runs stably, the AC voltage rises, that is, the countdown starts, and then the generator
starts to run.
(2)Operaon at night under automac mode. If there is no AC power, [E 00] is displayed and the
generator is started. The process is the same as above.
(3)During the sunshine period under automac mode, when the DC voltage is low and cannot
operate, or when the DC power is low, if there is no AC power, then start the generator.
Once the generator is started, it cannot be stopped immediately. Minimum running me 10
minutes.
11. Timing startup/shutdown
By seng P3.3 ming startup me and P3.4 ming shutdown me, the ming startup/shutdown
funcon can be acvated.
When the internal me runs to the value of P3.3, if the monitor is OFF, it will start automacally.
However, aer starng, if the machine is manually shut down, it will not be started again.
When the internal me runs to the value of P3.4, if the monitor is ON, it will automacally shut
down. However, aer shutdown, if the machine is started manually, it will not be shut down again.
This funcon is independent of the ming switching funcon of AC and DC. At the me of automac
shutdown, all power supplies will be turned off regardless of the power supply status. To cancel this
funcon, set P3.3=P3.4.
