Reaction Paper: In the Beginning

On the first scene of the movie, everyone in there are walking, they are going to a place that
Abraham is leading them. However, everyone is becoming hopeless so Abraham tells them a story, a story
on how God created the world, Adam and Eve, on how Adam and eve disobey God, how the evil came to
the world and the son of Adam killed his brother Abel and the promises of God to Abraham. God said to
Abraham, I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will
be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and who ever curses you I will curse; and all people on
earth will be blessed through you. Then Abraham asked his companion if they trust God for he trust Him
and everyone answered Abraham that they also trust God.
I can say that; Jacob is a son of Satan because how could he do that to his older brother Esau?
Jacob also tried to fool his father by impersonating Esau for the reason that Jacob want Isaac grant his
fatherly blessing to him instead. And in fact, Rebekah, the mother of Esau and Jacob, commanded her son
Jacob to impersonate Esau in order to get the blessing for himself. Isaac almost caught this skim but is
convinced because of the smell of Esau on Jacob's barrowed clothes, the hairy, and because Esau like
goat's skin on Jacob's hands.
The blessing of Isaac is very important to Esau because this blessing gave him the earth's bounty
and authority over his brother. It is also promised that those who were blessed will be blessed, and those
who were cursed will be cursed by God. Though after this, Jacob and Esau forgave each other.
Because of jealousy, the brother of Josef sold him but God didn't leave Joseph side and protected
him from the lions. God make a way for Josef to meet the pharaoh’s and until the end Josef always pray to
God to help him in his chosen journey.
In the end, I have learned that we should always be good to everyone and follow the rules that can
help us to become a good person. We should also trust God on every path that we have chosen in life and
lastly, let us not get sins in our way of successfulness.
