Assertiveness is the
process of expressing
feelings,asking for
legitimate changes, and
receiving honest
feedback.
● Assertive people are direct, honest and
expressive.
● They feel confident, gain self-respect and make
others feel valued.
● A poor alternative is aggressiveness, in which
people may humiliate others, and passive people
who elicit either pity or scorn from others and
seldom have much positive impact.
