Step 3 : Appear for a 30 minute Computer based qualifying test
Step 4 : Pass the test and empanel as an examiner

What is the methodology of the test?

It is a Computer based multiple choice question test of 30 minutes duration. You can appear at your own
location. There is no fees. There is no negative marking for the test. The schedule of the test is hosted at
http://examinerspanel.icaiexam.icai.org. An intimation e-mail is sent to the examiners requesting them
to register for the test. Usually a SMS reminder is also sent to register for the test.

Presently which subjects are available for empanelment as an examiners?

Presently; we have requirement of examiners in the following subjects; accordingly you are requested to
choose any of the following subjects and appear for the test in the following subjects only.

1. Law
2. Cost Accounting and Financial Management
3. Financial Management and Economics for Finance

What is the process of appearing for test for empanelling as an examiner.

An intimation email will be sent to you for registering for the test, while registering for test, you have to
choose the preferred subject and register for the test. Please note that registration is mandatory to
appear each and every time to appear in the test. To register on-line for the test , please visit

I have registered for the test. How do I configure my personal computer to appear in the test?

How many attempts I will be given to pass the test? How the attempts are counted?

Total 3 attempts will be given to pass the test. If a candidate who register for test and does not appear
for test on the scheduled date; It will be counted as an attempt. So candidates are requested to register
for test only if they have firm plan to appear for the test.

For how many exam terms the test will be valid to continue in the panel of examiners?

Six successive exam terms irrespective of the fact that whether you choose or not examinership
assignment in a particular exam term. Or in other words it will be valid for three years from the date of
passing the test.

I, have exhausted all the three attempts and could not pass the test. When can I again appear for test.

One year from the date of appearance of third test.
