Descriptive Title: Numerical Methods and Optimization Techniques

Credit Units: 3 units (54 hours Lecture)
Pre-requisites: None
Course Description:
The course deals with the algorithms for obtaining numerical solutions to problems involving continuous variables. Such problems arise throughout the natural
sciences, social sciences, engineering, medicine, and business. Moreover, the course presents a comprehensive and up-to-date description of the most effective
methods in continuous optimization. It responds to the growing interest in optimization in engineering, science, and business by focusing on the methods that are
best suited to practical problems.
