GEC104 : Mathematic in the modern world

Given :

1.

2.
Given: :

Solution:
Step 1 :
Let x be the number of kilogram of ingredient A
Let y be the number of kilogram of ingredient B
Step 2:
Z = 200x + 350y
Step 3 :
x ≤ 6 (24 units / 4 units = 6kg)
y ≤8 ( 24 units / 3 units = 8kg)
x + y ≤ 24
x≥0
y≥0

Corner points Objective functions

Minimize : Z = 200x + 350y
0,0 Z= 200(0) + 350(0) = 0
6,0 Z= 200(6) + 350(0) = 1,200
0,8 Z= 200(0) + 350(8) = 2,800
6,8 Z= 200(6) + 350(8) = 4,000
Therefore 6kg of ingredients of A needed and 8kg of ingredients of B needed to
maximize sales and it has a total of Php 4,000.
