Case Analysis
Problem :
➢ According to their press release, the reason is because they had a system glitch after a system
upgrade that made them unable to deliver supply over to their branches causing the shut down.
➢ No cause for alarm; there’s no shortage of Chicken Joy, just a computer glitch that has resulted in
a slowdown in the delivery.
Solution :

1. The solution to that is to improve their IT system, although it happens unexpectedly. They need to
improve it, and not only that, they also need to improve their services, preparation, and distribution
of their product.
2. An effective inventory system is required to properly plan, forecast, and deliver the inventory all the
way to the stores to meet demands. Failure to do so causes the company to lose its customers to
its competitors, or worse, lose their loyalty altogether.
3. Delivery must be continuous.
4. Be transparent , Be transparent to your client. Allow your client to monitor the progress of a project
and catch problems earlier rather than later.

Support :

➢ The lesson learned about that is that system upgrades are no joke. It requires a lot of preparation,
a disaster recovery plan, and even manual backup options in case the system doesn’t push
through as planned. When a cut-over plan fails, this can cause the organization to lose millions to
billions of dollars of sales per day that will never be recovered. It is important to work with a reliable
vendor with a good level of experience in doing cutovers. I am sure that Jollibee will do their best to
make up for this and ensure the system glitch never happens again.
