INDUSTRIAL VISIT REPORT

Introduction

A complete report on industrial visit organized by PSN college of Engineering and Technology, for the
students of Department of Management Studies in order to get the practical knowledge about Start
up companies carried out by family Plastics Pvt Ltd.

DETAILS OF JOURNEY

PSN college of Engineering and Technology had organized an industrial

visit on 25 February , 2022 to Family Plastic Pvt Ltd located in SIPCOT
industrial Growth Centre, Gangaikondan for the students of Management
Studies

The visit was organized by HOD of Department of Management Studies

Prof. K. SundarRajan

We started travelling from the college campus at 11:30 am via a Private

Van. Totally 27 students along with one coordinators faculty were there
in the journey.
COMPANY PROFILE
Family Plastics was established in 2003 at Trivandrum with the
participation of the Kerala State Government. The excellent performance
of Family Plastic Pvt Ltd Trivandrum, proactive Government of Kerala
which saw the need for expansion, got second unit of Family Plastics
started in 2012 in Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu.

Proliferation of technology for development of the industries with supply

of skilled manpower is the key to meet the needs of the global
requirement. With this Government of Kerala encouraged Family Plastics
to start 5 more sub-centers to train in the area of Plastic Home
Appliances making in various parts of Kerala.

Today, the Family Plastics Pvt Ltd have acquired mastery in Plastic Home
Appliances making technology and have blossomed into an epitome of
precision and quality in the development and manufacture of
sophisticated Plastics.

GROUP OBSERVATION
• This Industrial visit is very helpful in our future practical Life & bring a
positive change in our thinking & practical behavior regarding Education
& specializing our technical skills.

• Got practical knowledge about the advancement in technology of

machines.

• Use of programming in field of Management.

• Precise cutting and surface finishing of the jobs.

• Making of plastic objects using “Injecting technology“ of plastic .

• Management of manpower and machines.

• Different courses offered by training section

CONCLUSION
We are thankful for all our faculties for organizing such an Informative
event for us in crucial for development of our practical skills regarding
Start Up & other activities.

We got the knowledge on different types of machines used in Family

Plastics Pvt Ltd and had an opportunity to research on it.

We hope to get more chances further to have such an informative &

wonderful experiences of visiting different industries.
