Team structure report

Mission statement:
“To devise a plan to have a safe, fun, and affordable adventure for our patrons.”

A mission statement is important because it helps everyone keep the same motivations. It also aligns
our team members and sets a clear goal for us. We will own up to our mission statement by working
together diligently and harmoniously.

Team roles:
We decided our team’s roles by correlating our color personalities (Kamera S.- blue, Terrion C.- Orange,
Sariya P.- gold, Harley C.- Green) to Belbin’s team roles, then assigned role titles based on what best fit
our Belbin roles. Every member in the group has a different color personality; which affects how we all
work together. Every team member should have a clear role when it comes to achieving a particular
objective.

Roles in our team

• Kamera- Prevent fights/arguments/disruptions between customers (Monitor/Plant)


• Harley- Make advertisements, plans marketing. (Advertisement/Administrator)
• Terrion-Keep customers comfortable and safe/prevent risks (Health & Safety)
• Sariya -Oversees everything; make sure things go smoothly (Chairperson/Coordinator)
Belbin's team roles-
Finance Team- Collects and handles money, keeps up-to-date records of payments, must be honest, can
accurately calculate information regarding income and expenditure
Plant - Problem solver
Advertisement - Plans the marketing and promotions for the event, create physical publicity, write and
supply information to different outlets
Health & Safety - Consoles risks involved with running an event/prevent accidents, needs effective
communication skills
Administrator- Prepares and arranges dates and times for meetings, organizes the agenda for each
meeting, must be able to keep accurate and clean records
Coordinator Delegates- oversees the success of the completion of projects and events, creates, and
manages proposals
Monitor- Oversees the success of the completion of projects and events, helps customers become and
remain comfortable
Chairperson- Ensures tasks are completed, must be able to stimulate, inspire, and encourage others, can
help the team use all its member’s strengths

My role on the team is the monitor/plant. These are good roles for me because I like everyone around me
to be happy and in a peaceful environment. I am also good at producing solutions to problems.

Team communication

We will communicate by phone and in person. We have created a group chat so we can share work with
each other, and we can also discuss issues with each other when we have 2nd period together.

Leadership style

Our team will follow the democratic leadership style. This is where the members share responsibility,
delegates tasks to team members, and the leader listens to the opinions of others. In this
situation, Sariya is the leader because she is the best fit due to her color personality and team
roles.
