II. RATIONALE

The Legal Division in coordination with the MAFAR Municipal Office of Sumisip had
agreed on the conduct of Legal Aid Clinic to effectively achieve the targets of the division.
Anent to this, said activity will roll-out reaching out mechanism to farmers, fisher folks, ARB’s
and prospective ARBs that is essential in accomplishing the set goals.

The Legal outreach Info Drive, aims to inform, reach out and assist Farmers, fisher folks,
ARB’s and prospective ARBs of their legal right as provided by Law.

This activity will be a great help reaching out to stakeholders of the MAFAR Basilan
more particularly the ARB’s and potential ARB’s of MARBEDCO as well as to fast track the
pending cases handled by the division in Barangay Mangal.

III. OBJECTIVES

 Inform the farmers, fisher folks, ARB’s and prospective ARBs on MAFAR mandates,
mission and vision
 Inform ARB’s and prospective ARBs of their legal rights and obligations under the RA
6657 as amended
 Assist farmers, fisher folks, ARB’s and prospective ARBs of any problems that they may
have

V. COURSE CONTENT
1. Information dissemination on the different rights and obligations of ARBs under the RA
6657 (CARPER Law) as amended
2. Information dissemination of RA 10068 (Organic Agriculture Act of 2010)
3. Pulong-pulong (brainstorming)
4. Legal Clinic

VI. METHODOLOGIES
The outreach activity will use mainly Participatory Activity Methods. It will include, but
not limited to, lecture and case study problem solving simulation. The lecture method in a form
of presentation will be an effective way to introduce new information or concepts to the Farmers,
fisher folks, ARB’s and prospective ARBs. The learners always appreciate a concise, stimulating
and well-delivered lecture. The lecture method is primarily used to build upon the learners’
existing base of knowledge levelled at the Farmers, fisher folks, ARB’s and prospective ARBs
knowledge.

The case study problem solving simulation aims at stimulating the minds and curiosity of
the Farmers, fisher folks, ARB’s and prospective ARBs of their problems that would most likely
encourage learners’ participation and openness to their legal problems.
