ACTIVITY
ART RECALL

Recall: When was the first time that you realize that there is a higher being than yourself? How
old were you then? What made you believe that there is a higher being?

 For me, If I remembered it correctly when I was still a child around 5-6 when I always
pray when I wake up to thank for giving me another day, every time we eat and then
before we sleep. What made me believed that there is a higher being is due to attending
mass and Sunday bible school since they told us interesting story when I was a kid that’s
when I learned about the higher being.

Draw. Make a poster about the instance or situation that made you believe in the existence of the
higher being.

 Catechism and Praying made me believe in the existence of the higher being.

o These experiences affects my beliefs on a higher being by knowing and

understanding that there is a higher being and we how it affects our spiritual
personality.

2. How is the belief on a higher being related to yourself?

o The belief on higher being is related to myself since it affects my spiritual
personality that’s why we are baptized when we are kids in order to be part or to
acknowledge the presence of the higher being.

3. Do you consider having a spiritual self? Why or why not?

o Yes I do have. Although I don’t really go to church and pray always but I
believed that actions is more important so whether you are not praying or going to
church as long as you believed then I think it’s considerable to say that we all
have a spiritual self.

Application & Assessment

MISS- My Inner Soul and Spirituality

Answer the following questions:

1. How do you view your life at the moment? Is it good or bad? Why?
 For me, I view my life at the moment as my healing stage and my re-connecting phase so
I think it is good at the moment. I think it’s good since I began to come back to doing
things that I love and what makes me happy. Also, I am learning and trying to improve
myself everyday so I think that my life at the moment is much better compared to the past
3 years.

2. When you are going through a difficult time, what is the first thing that goes through your
mind? Explain?
 For me, when I’m going through a difficult time the first thing that goes through my mind
is run away. I have the habit that when I faced a problem that I knew I couldn’t solve or I
don’t know what to do, I always do is run away. They say that running away is just for
cowards but for me if running away is the only solution that could make you feel at eased
or could make you feel forget all those difficult times then for me running away is much
better.

3. Think of moments when you were having a serious problem, why do you think it
happened to you?
 I think it happened to me because of my actions. I don’t blame to other people or timing
when I encountered a serious problem, I always blame it on myself. I think those serious
problems happened to me due to my poor personality skills and my decisions are usually
not that great that’s why sometimes those serious problems happened to me due to my
poor decision making skills.

4. Ask yourself this question: How am I of value to myself, to others, and to what I believe
in?
 For me, I value myself as someone who’s not going to do great in the future and probably
that kind of people like an air. Someone who’s presence is not that much important. For
others, I think they value me as a friend, family member, relatives depends on the people
whom I met in the process. Lastly, to what I believe in, I think myself is just a normal,
regular person on his 20’s and I think until the end it will stay at that way.

5. How does your belief of a higher being affect your life?

Jess Mark G. Libuna Module II- Lesson V
BSIS 1-A PSY: Understanding the Self

 For me it affects me on my spiritual self. It affects me by being a follower of what the

higher being wants us to make and learning about his stories and using the knowledge
that I get from those stories in my daily life.

6. What makes your life meaningful?

 For me what makes my life meaningful is being contented and having a peace of mind.
For me having those two in my life is the reason what makes my life meaningful. My
peace and being contented to what I have right now in life, from having a good health,
college life, friends & family to support me are enough reasons for me to have a
meaningful life.
