PLEASE READ

I. Submission of Research Proposal (hard copy 1st Draft)

Deadline: January 10, 2023 for all groups of BSN-3A and BSN-3B

II. Proposal Hearing (Oral)

A. Schedule: January 10 (Tue) – whole day, starting at 9:00 AM

January 11 (Wed) – afternoon only, starting at 1:00 PM
January 12 (Thu) – whole day, starting at 9:00 AM

B. Activities:

1. On or before your scheduled defense on January 10, 2023, please submit

three (3) photocopies of the research proposal. Each panelist from the faculty
will be given a copy where he/she can write comments on your output. The
copies should not be colored, and may be simply stapled (no need for sliding
folder).

2. You should have your own copy of the research paper with you during your
presentation. You should note down on your copy the corrections and
revisions (if any) that may be suggested by the panelists.

3. The research proposal should be printed on short size (8½ x 11) white bond
paper. The proposal should contain the following parts:

(a) Title Page

(b) Table of Contents
(c) Chapter 1 – Introduction
(d) Chapter 2 - Review of Literature
(e) Chapter 3 – Methodology
(f) Appendices
(g) List of References

4. Present in PowerPoint only the salient points of your research proposal. Limit
your oral presentation to a maximum of 15 minutes, and discuss briefly only
the following sections:

(a) Background of the Study

(b) Statement of the Problem

(c) Research Design

(d) Respondents of the Study
(e) Research Instrument (Questionnaire)
(f) Data Analysis

5. After the research presentation, revise the research proposal based on the
comments/recommendations of the panelists. Submit one (1) copy of the
revised research proposal (the 2nd draft) on or before January 31, 2023.

6. Every member of the group has to participate in the presentation and may be
asked individually by the faculty panel about any aspect of the research.

C. Order of Presentation: Within each section, the students themselves will

decide, preferably by drawing lots (raffle), how the eight groups will take
turns in the presentation. The decision should be finalized and reported to your
research instructor not later than January 9.

Note: While one particular group is presenting, the members of the other groups
will not be allowed as audience during the proposal hearing.
