SHORT STORY
"BUSINESS LOAN"
 THE RESTAURANT

In a faraway land called Batangas, there is a married couple named

Savannah Smith and Xavier Smith. They have a son named Salvier. One day,
Mr. and Mrs. Smith talk about starting a small restaurant. But because of
their lack of money, Mrs. Smith doesn't approve of it. However, Mr. Smith
suggests trying to get a business loan from a bank.

The next day, the couple went to the first bank they saw. They asked if
they could get a loan for their business, but the bank immediately refused
because they might not be able to pay immediately. The husband and wife
left the bank dejectedly. Mrs. Smith is sad because of that, but Mr. Smith
encourages his wife not to lose hope because there are other banks they
can ask. That's why they went to the second bank. They asked again if
they could get a loan for the business they were going to construct. After
they asked that, the staff asked them what the loan was for. The couple
said it was for the purchase of kitchen utensils and other items they will
put in the restaurant. The staff nodded and gave them a chance for a loan
because she saw them so serious about building a business, even though
they were in poverty. The couple is so happy to hear that and
immediately thanks the bank. Because of so much excitement, they plan
the restaurant when they arrive home.

The next day, the couple cleans the space they will use for the
restaurant. After that, they went to the public market to buy the
equipment and furniture. When they already have what they need, they
come home and fix the restaurant for the opening that will happen the
next day. The couple can't hide their excitement because this is the dream
they want to do. The other day, the opening of the restaurant was
successful. Because of Mrs. Smith's good cooking, many people come to her
restaurant to eat.

A year later, their restaurant became well known and already had
another branch. They also already paid the bank for the business loan
they borrowed. By that, the couple lives happily and successfully with
their son.
