Letters to Students About Their Success:

Hello!

I’m Ms. Sam Kish, and I’m an MSU intern working with Mr. Aaron Bales. Since the
beginning of the 2nd semester, I have been the lead teacher in your student’s Economics class. I
feel very lucky to have the opportunity to teach, work with, and learn from our students.
Today I passed out Progress Reports to all our Economics students so they could have a
physical copy of their current Economics grade. I would recommend asking your student to show
you either the physical progress report or a virtual version of their grades on Echo through the
Echo gradebook feature. I am happy to report that your student is doing well in my class. Please
take an opportunity to celebrate your student’s success!
I have expressed to all of our students that I am available to work with them after school
on Tuesdays until the end of the marking period (March 24th) to help them catch up on missing
work and to provide space for them to ask any questions they may have. I also suggested they
could use this time to complete other missing assignments for other classes if they wished to do
so.
I will be present at Parent-Teacher conferences on Thursday, March 16th if you would
like to have a conversation about your student’s progress in my class. Please feel free to contact
me at samantha.kish@lansingschools.net with any questions or concerns as well.

Thank You!

Ms. Sam Kish

physical copy of their current Economics grade. I would recommend asking your student to show
you either the physical progress report or a virtual version of their grades on Echo through the

are negatively affecting their grade and their learning in my class.
