Assessment & Evaluation

A proven approach to assessment & evaluation is
backwards design: "Begin with the end in mind"

Identify what students should know and be able to do by the

end of the learning cycle.
Create an assessment to measure that learning.
Plan a sequence of lessons that will prepare students to
successfully complete the assessment. The backward design process (Wiggins
and McTighe) starts with the desired results
and then create the instruction and learning
experience to support the learning goals.
