- They lay eggs with leathery shells which prevent them from
drying up
- Some live on land and some live in water

Birds

- They have beaks and wings but not all can fly
- They have feathers
- They are warm blooded
- They lay eggs with hard shells
Mammals

- They are covered in hair or fur


- Mothers feed their young milk produced from mammary glands
- They are warm blooded
- They give birth to live except the spiny ant eater and the
duck-billed platypus
