Task 1

The given line graph illustrates the statistic about the water usage worldwide by three sections in the
period of 1900 to 2000 while the given table depicts data about water consumption of two different
countries in 2000.

Looking in the line graph from an overall perspective, global water use in three sectors experienced a
significant rise along the years. Meanwhile, from the table, water consumption in Brazil overtake the
water usage in Congo.

Looking the line graph in details, water for agriculture use stood on top of the list with 500km3 in 1900
and remained its rank in the following years, which rocketed and levelled off at 3000km3 in 2000.
Followed by, water for industrial use and domestic use shared the same proportion at 100km3 in 1900
and both remained until 1940, when industrial use rised significantly and was 10 times higher in 2000
while domestic use only made up for 500km3 in 2000.

From the table, it is apparent that Brazil had a remarkable population and a large irrigated land with 176
million people and 26,500 km2 of land, compared to only 5,2 million people and 100km2 of irrigated
land in Congo. Therefore, Brazil witnessed a significant number of water consumption per person, at
359m3, while Congo only made up for 8m3 in the same section.

TASK 2
It is argued that the number of people who moving to cities with a view of seeking for a better life are
increasing day by day, while others believe city life can be extremely difficult. From my perspective, I
believe that living in the city can be stressful due to the fast living pace. Therefore, goverments and the
citizen should join hands to improve urban life.

Admmittedly, moving to large cities bring various of opportunities in terms of healthcare, jobs and
education. For instance, it is easily to find jobs application and open learning course in every corner of
any city. However due to the fast living pace, urban life can be extremely difficult since people have to
keep up to date with changes and development of not only the city but also have to renew themselves
in a positive way so that they won’t fall behind others. Take Japanese as an example, many people living
in the city fall into depression when facing with dificulty in keeping themselves up to date with their
work and the urban life. Furthermore, due to the fast living pace, people in city have to face with the
loneliness since others are busy to care about them. This have been proved that number of people who
fall into depresstion because of loneliness in cities are higher than other parts of the country.

To deal with this issues, governments should open public activities
