How do I find a good business idea?
Definition of Business Idea
Know – I know that business idea is expressed by the
creativity of an individual specially businessman/woman
to gain money
Want to know – I want to know how further my
creativity can be as I generate my own business ideas

Importance to Generate Ideas
Know – I know that it is important to generate our own
ideas to avoid conflict in the future. One conflict is being
subjected to plagiarism

business ideas that can assure them 100% that
it will succeed?
1. Darian po can consider establishing a printing
business
2. Enzo can consider making various foods and sell
it po in their subdivision or via online
3. Zeny can consider selling via online coffee or
coffee beans

GENERATING IDEAS
Business Ideas
- a plan, suggestions or possible course of action
- we generate ideas to resolve a problem
- accdg. to manu et al (2005), the reasons why you
should generate business idea are the ff.:
1. to respond to market needs – para mabigay ang
needs ng mga customers
2. to respond to changing fashions and requirements –
dahil nagbabago ang mga trends or taste ng mga tao
3. to stay ahead of the competition – since each day is
an opportunity for innovative ideas for businesses, we
need to stay ahead to our competitors.
4. to exploit technology to do things better – maximize
the use of technology to produce better business or
products
5. because of product life cycle - May mga products po
kasing tinatanggal sa market and we need to generate
ideas para mapunan ‘yung nawala
6. to spread risk and allow for failure – Example po
niyan is ‘yung trial and error method. The more the
business generates ideas, the more na magiimprove
tayo. Malalaman natin ang risk ng business na naisip
natin. Kahit na failure po ito, may benefit pa rin naman
po
SOURCES OF BUSINESS IDEAS
1. Hobbies/interests – it serves as their motivation
to establish a business
2. Personal skills and experience -
3. Franchises – may name na siya sa field, kaya
mabilis lang ang pagsuccess ng business. Pero,
wala kang sariling identity.
4. Mass media (newspapers, magazines, tv, and
internet) – it influences an individual to
establish a business
5. Exhibitions – due to various products in the
exhibit, pwede makapag-generate ng ideas
6. Surveys – generate ideas to provide a solution
7. Complaints – observation sa mga complaints ng
mga ibang tao, we can generate ideas
 8. Brainstorming – pag-analyze ng mga trendy, or
mga kailangan ng mga tao, we can generate
ideas
9. Creativity – by being creative and extra,
nagiging innovative and sensible ‘yung ideas
when establishing a business

- ability to design, form, make, or do something in a new
different way
- you need to keep your mind and eyes open (be
observant)

FOUR RULES
1. Don’t criticize or judge the ideas of others – it
can bring down its confidence
2. Freewheeling is encouraged-ideas that seem to
be wild or crazy are welcome
3. Quantity is desirable-the greater the number of
ideas, the better
4. Combine and improve upon the ideas of others

- attractive investment idea or proposition that provides
the possibility of a return for the person taking the risk
- it can motivate an individual to take risk
IDEAS AND OPPORTUNITIES
1. a good idea is not necessarily a good business
opportunity – good idea ‘yung business or
products but that it is not guaranteed to
business opportunities. Why? Possible na hindi
siya bebenta sa mga tao
2. if ang income or ‘yung overall nabenta mo is
nag-exceed sa mga ginastos mo, ‘yung idea mo
na inapplyan mo ng action turns into business
opportunity since lalago ang business mo

4. Meet objectives – meeting the set objectives
means na nag-success ang business mo
5. Availability of resources and competencies – it
is easy to take risk if available ang resources

- need to be assessed to viability (doable ba) ince they
have been identified and generated
Ano ang risk and rewards sa market sa mga:
1. Industry and market – papatok ba?
Makakatulong ba?
2. Length of the window of opportunity – in just a
short period of time, maaring makakita ka ng
opportunity na rare lang. assessing kung gaano
kahaba or katagal ‘yung opportunity na
nakabukas
3. Personal goals and competencies of the
entrepreneur – gaano ka-competent si
entrepreneur? on track pa rin ba ang goals ng
business or nalilihis na?
4. Management team – ‘yung nakuha bang
employees for your business is competent
enough? Honest and loyal ba?
5. Competition – kaya bang makasabay ng
business mo sa competition? If kaya, then it is a
reward.
6. Capital, technology, and other resource
requirements - na-uutilize po ba nang maayos
or namamaximize po ba ‘yung use ng resources
mo in an effective way for the growth of your
business
7. Environment – ‘yung location mo ba can attract
customers?
