OF MICE AND MEN
George unconditional love to Lennie’s wellbeing
- He gives stern warning to Lennie not to drink so much else he’ll get sick
- He builds imaginary dream together with Lennie to buy a farm and grow
their own food, raise livestock, and keep rabbits to keep him happy
- He concerns with the fact he’s stroking a dead mouse as it may bring
disease and throw it away
- He never leave Lennie’s side although he has often gotten them into
trouble
- When Curley vent his rage to Lennie, George urges Lennie to fight
back. On George’s command, Lennie grabs Curley’s right hand and
breaks it effortlessly.
INDIVIDUALS ON TIKTOK
- The story about Max and Jake on TikTok with the username of
@mybrothermax
- Max is autistic and throughout his life, Jake has been protecting
him from the world.
- One time, when they were 11 years old, a woman was insulting
Max and said that he was a jerk for taking too much time in
putting his butter to the popcorns in movie theatre. That was
when Jake stood up for him and claimed that ‘he is autistic’ and
shut the woman up.
- It’s the same as how George protects Lennie as he has
intellectual disability.
- Both never seem to complain about taking care the other ones,
sometimes they do but they still care.
OF MICE AND MEN
LONELINESS
- The theme could be related with the video on interview of how people
shared their secrets on being lonely.
- A guy, with the name of Samuel, confessed on living in this fantasy where
he’s with someone he love with his whole heart, and he is fully aware of this.
- He constantly cry all the time about it and have panic attacks. As someone
who's love language is physical touch, it's extremely hard for him to go
through this, so he hug his clothes in his closet every night to help him
sleep.
- One of the worst things about loneliness is realizing that you are living most
of your life in your head. The conversations, laughs, and friends you wish to
have are all in your head
- Just like Curley’s wife, she was keen for attentions and as her husband
could not provide her that, she began to seek it from others.
FEMINISM
OF MICE AND MEN
FEMINISM
- The first example of feminism in "Of Mice and Men" is Curly's Wife.
- She isn't even named in the book, which shows how little attention was
paid to women in that time.
- She was described as a flirty, promiscuous woman
- There is the social barrier of gender that is blocking women in this novel
freedom to live a free life.
- For instance, Curley’s wife has the dream of becoming an actress,
but instead gets married to Curley.
- She’s always left out, lonely, and avoided by everyone.
- At the end of the novel, Lenny kills her.
- Show that she couldn’t defend herself and very much worthless female
FEMINISM
- Aunt Clara
-Blamed for the softness addiction that got Curly’s wife killed in
the place.
-Portrayed as the stereotypical mother figure, a stereotype
commonly slapped on women of that time.

- Constantly mentioned warehouse

- When George and Aunt Clara yell at Lennie about how much better
George’s life would be if Lennie wasn’t around, they always mention
the possibility of George hanging out in a cat house.
- Using women as sexual tools rather than valued characters in the
play.
- George talking about all the women he could be using not actually
loving shows the feminism
