1. The classes, or socioeconomic statuses are represented in the text:
In Les Misérables, there are two social classes were represented in the text were rich or poor
(lower and upper class) also including slaves and whether or not you had power, the other
way you were rich or poor was how you treated others, if you were good or bad.
For the socioeconomic statuses in the text are some of people have power and rich and they
are still rich they can earn money easily also their education is higher they don’t care about
other people, on the other hand there are poor, poverty and slave that were working hard and
didn’t have enough money to spend for their children and their family. They were being
treated so bad from the upper classes.
2. The role does class play in the work are:
-The powerful rich( upper class) : people are the leader, live in a peaceful place, injustice,
corrupt, hurt the weak and do what they want to do.
-Poor, poverty (lower class)or slaves: they are work hard. They only spend their their life to
work for the rich, and was being treated by evil, unrighteousness and by the greed and
injustice.
The author’s analysis of classes relation: The classes relation is very far and different
from each other. The attitude of the powerful people is to lead and stay in the safe
place. And the poor was live in suffering.
3. Yes, By give chance for the poor to fight and release them from slave.

4. The text depict a struggle between classes, or how does class contribute to the conflict of the
text: Because of suffering in living like dying of the poor, they are trying to find ways to
have right and to get out of the rich power. They were fight and made the plan to destroy the
bad powerful people. The fight was happen and the powerful people still don’t care about the
poor. The poor doesn’t scare, and was contribute to fight with the strong soldiers, and they
still cannot win them.

5. Character overcome oppression: By learning to love each other and sharing, and also the
became brave.

6. The poor work hard and have no result and the sake for their own. Everything they work is
for the sake of the rich.

7. There are work purposes some from of utopian vision as a solution to the problems
encountered in the work:
-Love each other and do good while you are have the same situation or in suffering
-sharing what we have
-Show care to one another
-Make your own justice
-respect each other and Help each other.
