It is a wrap up! The Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis

Answer the following questions in your own words.
Share your perspective on the following issues:

1. What should the role of women be in society?

Women should have the same chances as men in society.

They should be able to do what they want without being
treated unfairly because they are women. This means they
should have the same opportunities for jobs, education,
and leadership roles. Women should also have control
over their own bodies and be able to make choices about
their lives. Everyone should treat women with respect and
give them the same chances as men.

2. When is war necessary?

War is a complex and serious matter and it should always

be a last resort. Sometimes when a country or a group of
people face a threat that can't be solved peacefully, war
may unfortunately become necessary. This could be to
protect innocent lives, defend the country, or restore peace
and stability. However, war should never be taken lightly
and Every effort should be made to resolve conflicts
through other peaceful ways before switching to military
action.
3. What role does religion play in war?

Religion can play a 2 role in war. On one hand, it can serve

as a motivating force, solving violence and conflicts based
on religious differences. On the other hand, religion can
give support to people and communities amongst the
chaos of war, promoting peace and resilience. However,
it's important to see that while religion can influence
conflicts, it's rarely the cause, as economic, political, and
social factors often mix with religious dynamics.

4. In times of hardship, what qualities do women possess that men do not?

In times of hardship, women often show unique qualities

such as empathy, emotional resilience, and motherly
instincts that can be very valuable to the community. Their
ability to show empathy and understand the needs of
others can create unity and support within communities
facing various Hardships. During times of hardship, such
as natural disasters or conflicts, women often show great
leadership. For example, in the 2010 earthquake in Haiti
women played important roles in giving support and
rebuilding communities. Many women had volunteered for
responsibilities such as caring for the injured, feeding their
families, and organizing relief camps even though they
were facing their own personal losses.
5. Can education solve all social problems?

In my opinion ducation is very important for solving many

social problems by motivating peoples and promoting critical
thinking, it cannot solve all issues alone. Social problems
are often caused by inequalities, economic problems, and
cultural issues that need detailed and thoughtful solutions
beyond education, such as policy changes, economic
motivation , and justice initiatives.

6. Is school the only way a person becomes educated?

I do not thing that school is not the only way a person

becomes educated. Even though formal education by
schools is very important and valuable, education can be
achived through many ways and experiences throughout a
persons life. Informal learning, such as self study, reading,
real life experiences, travel, and meeting with diverse
communities and people, also plays a important role in
shaping ones knowledge and perspectives. Life long
learning and development comes through a many ways and
people can get valuable knowledge, personal growth
outside of schools.

7. What are the qualities of a successful school?

I think that a successful school is one that has a supportive

and safe environment, that has academic excellence, critical
thinking, and creativity. It knows the value of strong
relationships between teachers and students, encourages
collaboration and communication, and encouraes
improvement through leadership, development, and diverse
teaching methods.Successful schools stress on students
development, including social-emotional learning and
extracurricular opportunities, while engaging families as
well.

8. Why is this book told from the third-person instead of the first-person point of
view? Wouldn't it be more powerful coming from Parvana's own words?
9.

In my opinion In "The Breadwinner," in a third-person

perspective lets us see beyond Parvana's experiences,
understanding the challenges of Afghanistan's society. It
helps us connect with other characters and understand their
struggles, making the story more impactful, however if the
The Breadwinner were told from Parvana's own words, it
could give a stronger emotional connection to the readers
about her experiences, making readers feel closer to her
journey and struggles.
