Reaction Paper on Computer Fundamentals

Nowadays almost everyone uses computer at work, at school or even on playing

games but many people are unaware of how a computer system works or the various
components that make it up. In fact, many people mistakenly refer to a computer as
having a CPU or a hard drive, but these are only two components of a computer. When
these precise pieces are joined, a full and functional device with the name of a
computer system is created. It is critical that you have a basic understanding of the
components that make up your computer system as a computer user.

Hardware is a physical component that connects to a computer and can be

physically touched. Some examples of hardware include video card, printer, computer
display monitor, and hard drive. The important of hardware is giving the software a
platform to run on. The software cannot operate with hardware since it is the base it can
run. The software and hardware interacts with each other with the purpose of fulfilling a
given task. Without these two components, a computer system cannot operate
effectively.

Through time, computers have evolved. They have affected the world around us
in many different ways. Computers have been integrated into the government and have
becomes part of our everyday life. Computers have gone as far as being part of our
culture. The evolution of computers have altered our lives a great deal; it affects our
government and the way we work and learn.
