INTRODUCTION

town or City. A stadium is able to put community on the map, establishing an
identity and providing a focal point in the landscape. They represent a nation’s
pride and aspiration.
A stadium is essential a huge theater for presentation of heroic feats. Basically
it is the output of the rise in the popularity of sport. It also role in the city-
financial, political, geographical and spiritual

AIM

TO design an National cricket stadium with an incorporated academy which is


financially self sustaining, futuristic in design in order for the structure to
become monumental civic architectural marvel and also to become financially,
politically, geographically and socially important

OBJECTIVE

TO create an Architectural image of the built form creating a landmark on the


urban fabric. To comprehend the various issues involving in planning and
design of the centre leading to the design of a lively building that would
promote interaction and provide exposure to the activities in a compelling and
engrossing environment.

has capability of creating interests and sports awareness amongst youth and
citizens their name on the World map, Study of the generation of various
forms. Generation of structural systems and dynamic components through
study of the modern construction technologies. Understanding the
Characteristic and apt usage of various materials. Reduction of carbon
footprint by a sustainable approach.

On ANZ STADIUM, SYDNEY

IN 1993 stadium Australia was designed to host the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
The ANZ Stadium design is completely unique. Entire sections of the seats
move, allowing the stadium to change shape in a matter of hours from a
rectangular playing field to an Oval ground. This dynamic design allows ANZ
Stadium to host a world record number of professional sports rugby league,
rugby union, AFL soccers and cricket, This flexibity also helps make the ANZ
stadium the first choice for the world’s biggest entertainment acts like U2, The
rolling stones and AC/DC.
A key design feature of the stadium is the traslucent, Saddle-shaped roof, The
rood during daytime events for player and spectator visibility. With events and
concerts being held all year round, you can imagine the amount of imagery,
photography and video that needs to be produced, promoted and stored. So,

M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore

The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (formerly known as the Karnataka


State Cricket Association Stadium) is a cricket stadium located
in Bangalore, Karnataka. Flanked by the picturesque Cubbon Park,
Queen's Road, Cubbon and uptown MG Road, this five-decade-old
stadium is situated in the heart of the city of Bangalore It has
a seating capacity of 40,000,[1] and regularly hosts Test cricket, One
Day Internationals (ODI), Twenty20 Internationals (T20i) and
other First-class cricket matches, as well as musical and cultural
events. The stadium is the home ground of the Karnataka state cricket
team and the Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers
Bangalore. It is owned by the Government of Karnataka and has been
leased out to the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) for a
period of 100 years.
Formerly known as the Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium, it was
later rechristened in tribute to Mangalam Chinnaswamy, who donated land for
stadium and served the KSCA for four decades and was also president of
the Board of ntrol for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 1977–1980.
It is the first cricket stadium in the world to use solar panels to generate a bulk
of the electricity needed to run the stadium. This has been procured as by the
"Go Green" initiative of the KSCA. As of 13 January 2020 it has hosted 22
Tests, 24 ODI

The International Tech Park Chennai, Taramani or ITPC (as it is popularly
known) is an hi-tech park in Taramani, Chennai.
Located in Chennai's IT Corridor, it spans 15 acres, offering approximately 2
million sq ft of office space. Over 40 IT/ITES companies are operating out of
the park. It has received various certifications including: PEER – Gold
certification by US Green Building Council.
In September 2011, ITPC's first phase building, the Pinnacle, earned the LEED
Silver certification in the category "Existing Buildings: Operations &
Maintenance (EB:O&M), version 2009 standard". This was the first multi-
tenanted building in India to be awarded the LEED Silver certification.
In October 2012, ITPC was awarded the LEED Gold certification for Phase II,
the Crest building, in the same category as the Phase I building. The
certification was awarded in the category of Existing Buildings: Operations &
Maintenance, version 2009 standard. It is the first multi-tenanted building in
India to be certified LEED Gold under the new version. The building is the
second of the three buildings at the tech park and offers 730,000 sq ft of office
space. The building has made several modifications and retro-fits to conserve
energy and water and reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
In 2018 it received the PEEER Gold certification. the following year it received
the Guinness record certification for successfully conducting ‘Preserve and
Conserve Natural Resources program.’
