OM II - Home Assignment (Weightage: 10 points)

As part of the OM II home assignment, each group has to select a recent case study (publication year
2016-2022) from any INTERNATIONAL case journal (may refer to Emerald, Sage, Ivey, Harvard Press,
University of Virginia cases). Please refer to your library’s electronic resources for access to cases.
Select a case study on any one of the following ORM II topics:

1. Forecasting
2. Quality
3. Process Improvements
4. Waiting lines
5. Inventory
6. Sourcing
7. Logistics
8. Lean Supply Chain

As a group, (1) you have to summarize the case, (2) identify the key learnings, (3) its relevance, and,
(4) critiquing the work done in the case study. A properly formatted soft copy (max 4 pages
excluding title page) of the report needs to be submitted to your CR (pdf version only) latest by 19th
March 2023. The front page of the report must have the group details (names, roll no, group no.,
title of the selected case chosen for the study). Respective section CR should collate and send the
professor the pdfs (zipped file) as an email attachment latest by 20th March 2023.

It is important that CRs should use a common Google form to ensure that once a case is identified by
any one group from either section, others can’t select it anymore for the study to avoid any
repetitions. There should be almost equal representation of all 8 topics across both the sections,
and CRs should look into this to avoid any duplication.
