Proposed Title GrieValuate: Web-Based Student Grievances and Faculty Evaluation Portal for
MinSU Main Campus

Introduction Education is a fundamental right that must be accessible to all members of society.
It is widely recognized as a vital component in shaping an individual's personal
growth and development, as well as their contribution to the betterment of society
as a whole. The conduct of this study aims to improve the academic experience at
MinSU Main Campus by developing a web-based platform for submitting student
grievances and faculty evaluations. The foundation of this research is grounded in
the need to streamline the process of submitting student grievances and faculty
evaluations, as well as to provide a platform for real-time feedback and continuous
improvement. The thrust focus of this research study is on promoting transparency,
accountability, and student engagement.
Statement of the Problem The current process of submitting student grievances and faculty evaluations at
MinSU Main Campus has several limitations, including the use of Google Forms
for faculty evaluations and the public airing of grievances on the MinSU Freedom
Wall Facebook page. These limitations can lead to a lack of efficiency, security,
and confidentiality in the process. Additionally, there is a lack of a dedicated
platform for submitting grievances and evaluations, which can lead to a fragmented
and disorganized process. To address these gaps in literature and current
practices, the GrieValuate platform is proposed as a solution. It aims to provide a
secure and confidential platform for students to submit grievances and evaluations,
facilitating a more efficient and organized process for addressing student concerns
and improving the academic experience at MinSU Main Campus. By providing
real-time feedback to faculty members, GrieValuate also aims to encourage
accountability and facilitate ongoing improvement.
Objectives of the Study The proposed web system aims to simplify the process of submitting student
grievances and faculty evaluations at MinSU Main Campus, improving the
academic experience for all. The system also seeks to encourage accountability
and facilitate ongoing improvement by providing faculty with real-time feedback
from students. This feedback will help faculty identify areas of improvement and
work towards ongoing professional development. Furthermore, the system will
increase student engagement and satisfaction by providing them with a platform to
voice their concerns and receive timely responses from the administration. By
fostering a culture of transparency and communication, the web system will create
a more positive academic environment..
Scope and Limitation of the Study GrieValuate is a platform that has been developed to facilitate the submission of
student grievances and faculty evaluations at MinSU Main Campus. The platform
is designed to be secure and confidential, providing a safe space for students to
submit their complaints and feedback. Furthermore, GrieValuate provides real-time
feedback to faculty members, which allows them to monitor their progress over
time and identify areas for improvement.

Despite the benefits that GrieValuate offers, there are also limitations that should
be acknowledged. Firstly, GrieValuate is only available to students and faculty
members at MinSU Main Campus, which means that individuals outside of this
community cannot use the platform. Additionally, GrieValuate's effectiveness
depends on the active participation of students and faculty members. Without their

input, the platform cannot achieve its goals of promoting transparency,
accountability, and continuous improvement.

Lastly, GrieValuate is an online platform, and as such, is subject to technical


issues that may disrupt its functionality. These issues could include server
downtime, connectivity problems, and other technical issues that could impact the
platform's ability to function effectively.

Methodology The proposed web application, GrieValuate, will be developed using the Agile
methodology, which involves iterative and incremental development cycles. The
application will be built using the Laravel framework, a PHP-based open-source
web application framework. The development process will be divided into sprints,
with each sprint lasting two weeks. During each sprint, the development team will
work on specific features of the application, such as the user interface, database
design, and security protocols. Regular meetings will be held between the
development team and stakeholders to review progress and make adjustments as
necessary. The application will be deployed on a secure server, and user data will
be encrypted and stored in a secure database. A beta testing phase will be
conducted to gather feedback from users and make any necessary adjustments
before the official launch. Overall, the Agile methodology will allow for a flexible
and collaborative development process that can adapt to changing requirements
and user needs.
