Statement Of Purpose (Software

Engineering)
Having developed a keen eye for the emerging technologies around me , I have always been
passionate about exploring the science of computers and information systems ever since I was a kid.
With a passion for subjects like Software Engineering and Data science , an interest in Computer
Science Engineering was incubated , scheduled for graduation in mid-2025.My innate interest for
Software Engineering began as a teenager when I found myself fascinated by the world computers
and programming.

Raised in a normal background , I have had to strive hard to achieve my goals and fulfil my dreams
With a burning passion to learn and good score in my board examinations , I managed to secure a
seat in SSN College of Engineering . In order to enhance my knowledge in the field of programming, I
joined the NPTEL programming courses offered by IIT Madras .The knowledge gained during the
course gave me a wonderful experience and served as an inspiration to contribute more to the field
of computers . I took an active part in many hackathons and robotic competitions during my college
days in which my team won many accolades. Elected as the president of the coding club in my final
year , my leadership qualities have been brought to the fore.

I further joined Infosys as an IT analyst where I gained extensive experience in designing efficient
computer systems. Two years ago , I completed an internship in software engineering , where I was
responsible for designing machine learning algorithms .This is where I felt the need to pursue a
master’s degree in Software Engineering to augment my expertise in programming and work upon
technical skills as well.

Music has always occupied a very important role in my life . I was so embarrassed when I qualified
the district level singing competition conducted by the National Youth Council of India. At the age of
16 , I won my first state level award securing a gold metal for the state . I was also chosen to
represent my state in the National level singing competition during the tenure.

My most imminent hobbies include listening to music and travelling . I am a very goal-oriented and
self-determined person in life, with a gift of focused mind and hard work. I am also a person with a
with a burning passion for teaching and share my knowledge and experience with my fellow people.

Presently , I want to focus on exploring the advanced data structures and algorithms and strengthen
my technical skills and proficiencies and programming skills by pursuing MS in software engineering.
On reviewing numerous universities , I found the Master’s program in Software Engineering offered
by the University of Texas the most apt for my aspirations. I find the academia the best in the world .
Given an opportunity , with strong basics and passion for programming , I am so confident to excel in
the Graduate course and the ever-green sphere of growing technology.
