Unit 6: Disease

Discussion point
1. Personally, I have admit that I use cell phone everday. I spend looking at my
phone about 5-6hours or more every day. I’m a bit worried this will affect my
health because there are a lot of researches and evidences showed that using
smartphone for too many hours per day and making it a habit will lead to a lot of
eye and skin diseases.
2. Eye diseases, insomnia and memory loss are also increasing by modern
technology.
Eyes are likely to have severe vision impairment and frequent dry eyes if the phone
is used for too many hours a day. Besides, this also leads to long-term insomnia or
even complete insomnia because the doctor said that the cell phone screen emits
blue light that reduces the sleep regulator, causing sleep and activities to be broken.
The doctor also warned that memory will be disrupted and reduced when not
having enough sleep.
3. Now I'm trying to reduce the time I use my phone every day as much as
possible. If it's completely unnecessary to use the phone or laptop, I won't open it.
Online leisure activities can be replaced by playing chess, reading or going for a
walk.
