During Group 1’s presentation. The first thing I learned during our presentation was
that ongoing inflation and supply and demand issues are contributing factors to
currency fluctuations. Second, I was introduced to terms like globalization, which
refers to a country's reliance on other countries, and liberalization, which refers to
foreign companies becoming more willing to do business in the Philippines. Finally, I
learned about possible ways to strengthen the Philippine peso, such as making
exports more competitive, supporting local businesses, and raising interest rates.

During Group 2’s presentation. first, I learned about the political independence of the
Philippines with the help of the United States. Second, during the Spanish rule, Polo
y Servicios forced Filipino men between the ages of 16 and 60 to work for 40 days; To
simply put, it was equated to slavery. Finally, Mickey Mouse money, which was used
during the Japanese rule, had no monetary value and was only referred to as such
because of its resemblance to play money.

During Group 3’s presentation. first, I learned about the causes of poverty and how to
alleviate it. Second, I discovered that one of the primary causes of income inequality
in the Philippines is corruption. Finally, Communism is an ideology that advocates for
a classless society in which all property is collectively owned.

During Group 4's presentation. first I learned that due to the high unemployment rate
and economic conditions in the Philippines, Filipinos prefer to work abroad. Second,
finding a job in the Philippines can be difficult because skills are less important to
employers than educational attainment. Finally, even if a person is unable to complete
college, they will be able to find jobs abroad that offer high salaries and additional
benefits.

During Group 5's presentation. first, I learned that K-12 is an opportunity to master
skills and competencies, which gave me insight and helped me change my perspective
beyond thinking of it as an extra two years. Second, due to the supply and demand for
education, although there are many schools in the Philippines, not all students can
enroll due to overpopulation and high tuition fees. Finally, simply graduating from
Senior High School does not guarantee a job.

During Group 6's presentation. The group first discussed how the unemployment rate
had risen. Second, I learned how the pandemic played a role because some jobs
require people to go outside, which was impossible during the early stages of the
pandemic in 2020 due to the COVID virus spreading. Finally, I learned that
unemployment can lead to debt, poverty, and increased crime rates, all of which can
be disastrous and cause future problems.
