Zuvairiya Parveen J was allocated to the Microwave Communication and Antenna Division for their Work-Based Learning Programme from February 12th to March 3rd. During this time, they conducted a literature review on aperture stacked patch antennas and designed two dual-polarized wideband aperture stacked antennas, one operating from 1-3 GHz using dielectric layers and crossed slots, and another from 24.25-27.25 GHz using a three-layer structure to obtain polarization and evaluate their S-parameters, radiation patterns, and gains.

I was allocated to the Microwave Communication and Antenna Division
(MCAD). The following lists the activities I did during this period. Carried out a paper survey that is related to aperture stacked patch antenna for designing dual polarized aperture stacked patch antennas Design of a dual-polarized wide-band aperture stacked antenna for a frequency range of 1GHz to 3 GHz: The antenna is made up of several dielectric layers (Duroid 5880, FR4 and air) Two rectangular patches are mounted on two different dielectric layers, which are located above the two feed layers. Two different feed layers are used to obtain dual polarization and also to obtain better isolation between the two polarization ports throughout all operating frequencies A Cross-slot in the design radiates two different polarizations S-parameters, radiation pattern and gain of the antenna are obtained Design of a dual-polarized wide-band aperture stacked antenna for a frequency range of 24.25 GHz to 27.25 GHz: The antenna is made up of 3 layers Layer 1 consists of a corporate feed line below the substrate and cross-slotted ground above the substrate; layer 2 consists of a feed line above the substrate and cross-slotted ground below the substrate (above layer 1); and layer 3 consists of a patch above the substrate and an air gap below the substrate (above layer 2) S-parameters, radiation pattern, and gain of the antenna are obtained
