The problems that the city of Mississauga hoped to address using digital technology is that it

should be accessible to everyone especially to households at risk. By going paperless making

information easily accessible will greatly impact the city and level the digital divide.

2. Mississauga implemented a city-wide fiber optic wifi bandwidth which allowed public parks,

community centers and areas to have wifi, consequently they started to implement technology

with Bring you r own device to encourage use of technology in appositive way. Also, over time

provided a real time transit location app so commuting would be easier.

3. Issues the city of Mississauga had to deal with when bringing up these ideas was that the city

tried to focus on usability, a high-quality customer experience, and making information tech-

nology and technology services available to residents of all income and educational levels that

meant that they would need a wifi city wide provided with one network.

4. The technology that was implemented has benefitted the city expansively as with real time

information known publicly it is known to everyone what needs to be worked on and as

individuals become more connected within the city it is efficient on finding out what needs to be

worked on in order to progress as a city.
